Anyone please help me understand my work experience.

I have 25 months of work experience. Have not been working for past 16 months/ taking exams in US.

I get a score drop of 25 points if I select 2 years of work experience, instead of 3 years.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated

What kind of suggestions are you looking for?

According to what you said you have 2 years of experience not 3.

;)

question is, I have 25 months of work experience in a HOSPITAL setting. I had an EMPLOYER.

But, I have 8 months of PRIVATE PRACTISE/ CLINIC BASED.

Can I include that as my work experience? That would help me jump from 450 to 475.

Dude, you list your employment.

Are you saying you worked for 2 years in a hospital and then 8months in a clinic? one after the other?

Even so, you haven't worked for 3 years.

It doesn't matter if you did 2 years and 364 days, if you haven't done 3 years then only list 2 years.

Yea that's what I was going to say, even if you could, it doesn't add up to 3 years.

Cheers ;)

Okay here is the list.

01-2013 to 12-2013 hospital based, full time, paid.
04-2014 to 06-2013 hospital based, full time, paid.
07-2014 to 09-2014 hospital based, full time, paid.
10-2014 to 12-2014 private clinic, no employer.
01-2015 to 06-2015 hospital based, full time, paid.
03-2016 to 06-2016 private clinic, no employer.

All this makes 29 months.
Does that make my work experience of 2 years or 3 years?

How in this world you are calculating 29 Months as 3 YEARS?

It is only 2 Years

Thank you.

That helped.

Was this work experience in Canada?

Otherwise I don't see a single job where you had continuous work experience for a year.

You need to have had the same job for 1 year to qualify.

You had several jobs in this time so I do not believe you qualify.

Also, 29 ÷ 12 = 2.4 years.

January 1st to December 31st 2013 was one complete, full time, paid job.

You got a job on new years day and worked until new years eve?

Do you have proof of that?

Also, that means you can only list 1 year of work experience to gain points.

I am not sure if you're even aware of Doctor's duty hours and everything?

We work on IRRESPECTIVE of gazetted holidays/Christmas/Eid/Diwali.

So, yeah! I was working on new year's eve.

I think there were some changes a while ago. CEC work experience need not be continuous anymore.
