HElP!!!My employer has agreed to try for LMIA but confused

So when I told me employer that the needs to advertise for my job he got confused. Can anyone tell me a step by step process to obtain LMIA for EXISTING employee?

He needs to advertise the job for at least a month to prove no Canadian could be found for the role. It doesn't matter that you are an existing employee.
