Can anyone help me in identifying NOC code for this Duties mentioned in my company refernce letter.My designation is IT Analyst.With this duities i am good to apply under noc 2171

• Determines requirements, designs, builds, tests, implements, maintains and enhances business systems.
• Develops and implements comprehensive test plans, policies and procedures to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems.
• Examine system’s requirements and determines proper installation parameters for software and hardware, for smooth integration, transition and efficiency.
• Assessing risks and planning, developing and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, software and data.
• Working with the clients to prioritize and rationalize the requirements.
• Writes documentation for business units, vendors, management, end users, and other
Information Technology staff.
• Ensures that proper procedures are documented and used according to accepted
Information Technology standards

Please help me. It is quite confusing for me.

As per CIC, below are the work responsibility for 2171

The following is a summary of the main duties for some occupations in this unit group:

1, Information systems business analysts and consultants confer with clients to identify and document requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery.

2, Systems security analysts confer with clients to identify and document requirements, assess physical and technical security risks to data, software and hardware, and develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches.

3, Information systems quality assurance analysts develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems.

4, Systems auditors conduct independent third-party reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems.


if your company refers the above duties, then its fine..

but for noc 2171 they didn't gave briefly as compared to another nocs.
I am in confusion whether these matches to noc 2171 or not

It looks great actually because there is another one 2283 that is specific to testing but your is Business analyst job. As per your job responsibilities, NoC 2171 is matching.

IT Analyst , Man are you from the Indian company ?? I can anticipate which one , just a wild guess might be wrong too . The designation of your company has nothing to do with your NOC code. What you actually do are you developer , Tester , Business Analyst , System Analyst . That will help to determine and predict NOC.

send email to HRSDC , they will tell you, just the mail on the website which define the NOC .

they will ask your background, like education, .etc , then give you a result, use that one,

if in future VO reject this, you can fight back with the evidence, it is HRSDC mistake not yours.

it depends on if you lucky, it is a minor problem, most of us won't meet such mean VO ,

so don't worry it , just mail and ask it . then apply with it. that is all you can do .
