You can NOT renew a RTD. You can only reapply a RTD by sending the completed form along with all supporting documents and your previous RTD.

do they have to go physically to Ottawa or send by mail. Did any one do mail and it worked?

Everybody I know used express mail to send the documents. Although if you really need RTD urgently you can pick up the document in person, otherwise they send it to your mailing address.

You don’t need a lawyer to fill out RTD paperwork.
