Hey guys! I applied for a pr and open work permit 2 weeks ago. I did it on paper. But I need to go back home because of family problems. I'm planning to go there in the beginning of August. What chance I'll have enough time to get my open work permit before so I can quickly apply for trv. I really need to go, I haven't been home for 2 years. Is there any other way to leave country while your pr application is processing l? How long did it take you to get your work permit??Thank you for help

How soon the OWP is approved depends on your status at the time of submitting the PR + OWP application. Do you have valid status in Canada or did you have valid status at the time you applied?

Note that having an OWP does not guarantee a TRV will be approved. If you leave Canada, there's always some risk you may not be able to re-enter.

Good - in that case you should have your OWP 2-4 months after you submitted the application (provided your application was complete).

Do you pay for PR and Open Work permit seperately? or id there a common receipt of payment?
