Hello I had my upfront medicals and I reported a case of insomnia for which I took medication in 2017. Does this affect my PR?

Absolutely not - inadmissibility is reserved for expensive to treat situations (100k+ CAD over 5 years) or public health risks. You shouldn't lose sleep over this.
