Does anybody know when the spouse of an international student can start to work?

I just talked to a counselor and he said that the rules change and now the spouse can start work before the other spouse starts school?

Is it true?

Yes she can start when before you start school. You may be denied entry if you arrive in Canada and you only start school in January. If you arrive right now and your courses start in January it may cause issues if your spouse is intending to work now. If you arrive in December she can look for a job and start working before your classes. You can’t work until your classes start.
