Just got off the phone with the IRCC AGENT after 12 months and 2 days since submission- was told she’s going to send an email to Mississauga office , that’s about it ...
As always, good show mate!

You know that just might work for you. If someone had forgotten your papers somewhere, they'll start looking for it now ;)

Same here.
I called and was told an email will be sent to Scarborough office.... :)

I am just hoping they can still find my file if it hasn't been recycled yet...
It could of been recycled and come back to them already, twice :D

Horrible! That's all they could do at this stage. Might as well outsource the customer service to Philipines. Save taxpayers some money.

If their job is to repeat the same info found on the website. Seems like they're clearly instructed not to escalate anything till applicants hit 12 months. It's pointless to have this system in place in the first place.

I mentioned to her that I am one of those people who missed the pre-24 chance by just a few months and had to wait for another 2.5 years just to qualify under C-24, but once again a few months short under C-24 when C-6 started, had to apply with tons of newly qualified PRs with just 3-years (and some with the pre-PR credit), and ironically many of those people had become citizens after 6-8 months while we have been waiting for over 12 months - the system is clearly unfair. She sounded understanding and apologized, but also avoided any real solution (I know it's really not her call anyway) by saying there are 'too many applicants' and 'don't compare your case with others'...

Could you suggest another country for outsourcing the customer service operations please?

I called today too and the officer sent a email to the Scarborough office. Mentioning do not empty the recycling bin with my papers hopefully they read it.
I am still waiting on the background check.
The officer told to me too that I can complain or write a comment and this would go directly to Ottawa. I will write for sure.

I wonder if the 80% means 80% of the applicants across the whole country? If it is, clearly GTA processing centers don't have to meet the 80% :(

Anyway, I called today as well. Like many others, the officer promised sending an email to the Scarborough office and asked me to wait for another two weeks.
