absolutely thats my point! It makes sense, I understand if you deny PR to new commers as they are not settled yet and they have not used super visa option! but if someone is settled in the country for decades been always employed, their parents used Super visa and it’s maxed out give them option for PR after 10 years dont put them through another temporary program while other Canadians’ parents immigrate here within 6 months

Does anyone know when does the 90 day restoration period end?is it 90 days since the visitor permit/ visitor record expired or is it since the day an officer has refused the extension application?for me-my visitor record expired last August,I applied for an extension before it expired on August 30 2024,was on implied status since then and got a refusal today.

This is so sad to know that your visitor record application was refused. would you mind to let know when did you apply for H&C? did you apply through lawyer or yourself? you alone or with your family and child? I am asking as I have applied in August 2024 as family with child, also applied for visitor record to restoration my status! I received my AOR, Biometric was done after two weeks and my ATIP report says decision is pending. After seeing your post, i am worried too.

Applied in June 2023 and it was through a lawyer,it was for one person,not a family,hope it helps

a. How to apply for reasons for refusal?

b.Should I file for reconsideration or file new application?

She has been in Canada since 2022 and has visitor status till November.

a. How to apply for reasons for refusal? -apply for GCMS notes,select the drop down officers refusal notes.

b.Should I file for reconsideration or file new application? -sometimes reconsideration work sometimes Judicial review,I wouldn’t recommend a fresh new application as it will send your application at the end of the queue which will take years for officers to look at,get the refusal notes and consult with your lawyer to find out what would be the best option(JR/reconsideration),good luck.
