Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum I have applied for h&C on November 6 2020 and my application went into process on today. I contacted my mp and she's going to contact ircc on my behalf. Just wondering is it fine to involve MP?

MP will only check on the status of your application. You are well within normal processing times so I'm not sure what you are expecting from the MP. The MP is just likely to tell you that it is being processed.

Your application went into process so fast it's a bad sign!!!! you shouldn't involve a 3rd party however as you involved a MP Your application can get rejected because it will hurt the ego of Officer .

Not sure what you are talking about. MP asking about the case has no impact on the "ego" or the officer or on the outcome of the case in general.

Thanks for reply
For express entry , his experience is more than 3 years which is not valid now.
As his work permit expire in jan 2019 till today that consultant not able to get him a work permit. We paid a huge amount of money to him for lmia. Nothing in his hand till today.
Now that consultant is saying he will trying to get him new lmia..process is .. long as well .. lmia will approve..no time line for that..
Then he will apply for work permit ..( dont know how long and dont even sure If work permit get approve)
Then he needs one year experience after that he can apply by then we dont even know what is immigration rules will be..

Dont knwo what to do ..trying to research all resources
You really should try to get your money back because what you're doing and what the consultant is doing is illegal. Both you and the consultant risk losing a lot of you are caught. CBSA seems to be finally cracking down. Would add that given the economic conditions LMIAs and WPs will be more difficult to obtain.

Your application going into process in less than 4months is concerning.I don’t want to be negative but it’s not promising. You involving your MP is not going to influence the decision of your application.I went through the same thing and I thank God for getting me out of that situation.Never trust politicians!

Congratulations although not sure we should be celebrating someone who essentially moved to Canada as an economic immigrant and was allowed to keep applying for various permits until they got approved without ever being removed. Just proves how ineffective our system is. You have lawyers and accountants involved and it is pretty clear that this was a case of economic immigration that didn't go through the proper economic immigration programs. Based on your previous posts your representation has used this tactic with other clients. Just another example about how policies in Canada will be exploited if we allow them to be..
You have come with your negative remarks! You’re Canadian citizen and I don’t know why you’re on this platform :rolleyes:please get a life already

Public forum. You can be interested in immigration policy as a Canadian citizen. Don't think @BrazaRec would disagree that she/he was an economic immigrant and hired good lawyers and accountants who had a strategy to try and secure PR via H&C when the plan to secure a study permit was refused. I can be frustrated that Canada doesn't remove people, sometimes for decades, and allows people to keep reapplying for permits/visas while remaining in Canada. Also frustrated with tax evasion and underground banking hurting Canadian citizens. Great thing about Canada is that we can criticize government policies or how they are implemented.

I actually help people immigrate, get study permits, get TRVs daily. I can voice my opinion if I feel that some people are not using the correct program/method to immigrate to Canada.
