Hello computergeek i was hoping you could help me understand this comment you made

They always redact security, though on my own I could tell when security checks passed because there were other things around those records that also were done (and while they redact the information, the printout is still chronological).

- can you give me some advice as to how i can maybe tell from other records if they have looked at security
- also what is the reason they edit the notes to remove the security info?

Records are printed in reverse chronological order. So the first entry printed is the newest and the last entry printed (in any given section) is the oldest.

Suppose you go to the "History" section and the "Application" Subsection. Let's say you have 13 items.

Item 6 says "Criminality" and "Old Value: In Progress" and "New Value: Passed" and the date is 2013/01/27
Item 7 says "Security" and "Old Value: Not Started" and "New Value: " (because it's been redacted) and the date is blank because it's been redacted
Item 8 says "Eligibility" and "Old Value: In Progress" and "New Value: Passed" and the date is 2013/01/27

You know that Item 7 has the same date as Items 6 and 8.

I'm not sure why they redact security information.

I ordered GCMS notes for my parents and dependent sister n enclosed 2 consent forms (i from my parents n other frm my sister). but in the file tht i received they have white-out the information for my sister like for medical it shows passed for my mom-dad but blank for my sister (n i can see there was something written b4 but redacted). any reasons why?? wen consent frm her is there too???

Helloo everyone,
I just received my GCMS notes.
Under the correspondences section, there are 2 out going correspondences from CIC.
The first one was my AOR which I received on Sep 1 It says "email" under the "via" heading.

The second one states that they requested my final passport on OCt 12, 2012. the "via" heading is blank. However, I received no such correspondence from them. Since the "via" heading is left blank, do I infer that the email was not sent out? I have been checking my email/postal mail regularly.


In the comments from the vo, it says that file is reviewed and is ready to issue visa as soon as criminality is passed which was passed on Oct 10, 2012.

Can anyone please help me out? I had sent New Delhi VO an enquiry about my status update on Feb 9. No reply yet.
Can I copy paste this GCMS notes info to them?
As per these notes, I could have had my visa issues by November as my file had completed and passed all reviews by October 12, 2012.

It means that if an interview is required, it will be conducted in English. It doesn't mean that you are in queue for an interview.

Counterfoil means "visa" they stick in your passport. They only put those in your passport if you are not visa exempt these days (they used to put them in everyone's passport). If you are visa exempt you just get the COPR. If you are not visa exempt you get the counterfoil (in your passport) and the COPR.

TRF = "Transfer"

so I think TRF-eligibility means "transfer for eligibility analysis"

So what is everyone's thoughts on that application assignment due date? Does it keep updating and getting pushed further back?

Our notes from Dec and our notes from Feb 5 show the same due date 02.14.2013 we have not heard from the embassy since Dec 7th when they requested our last step ARC (authorization to return to Canada)

Our medicals expire March 13 there is no note about an extension and we sent a CSE about the medicals with no response to that either.
Feb 14th has come and gone and we haven't heard anything.

so why if my application went down to Kingston in October is this being created by cpc mississauga?

so why if my application went down to Kingston in October is this being created by cpc mississauga?

CPC-M is responsible for sponsor evaluation.

Yes I realize that but why is it being created on Jan 4th of this year when I received my sponsor approval in October of last year and my file went to Kingston JA in October also. I can see on my notes when everything got transferred?

Odd indeed. I wonder if someone "found" the document and was logging that into the computer. CIC is a mysterious place at times.
