Hi, pls can someone give me guide on how to apply for PR as a protected person
Step-by-Step: How to Use the PR Portal
Go to the Portal Login Page
Use the link you shared: https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login

2 Create an Account (if you don’t have one)

On the login page, click “Create an account” or “Don’t have an account yet?” link.
Enter your email, personal details, and password
Verify your email from your email itself
Complete your basic profile (your name, date of birth, contact info)
This account will be used to start and manage your PR application online.

3. Start Your PR Application

Once signed in:
Choose the program you’re applying under
Under Category, select:
Permanent Residence
Program: Refugee (Protected Person)
Application: Protected Person in Canada
Fill out your profile first — this means your personal information.
You can then add:
your family members’ profiles
their details if you include them in your application

4. Fill Out the Required Forms

Inside the portal, you’ll complete digital forms and also upload PDF forms. For protected persons, the usual forms include:

Digital forms (inside the portal):
Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)
Background/Declaration (IMM 5669)
Additional Family Information (IMM 5406)

PDF forms you upload:
Document Checklist (IMM 5286)
Protected Persons and Convention Refugees (IMM 0008 – Schedule 14)
Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) — if you are working with a lawyer or consultant

These forms and their instructions are part of the official application package for protected persons.

Family Members (Very Important)
Even if your family is NOT coming to Canada now:

You listed spouse/common-law partner
️ You listed ALL children (biological or adopted)
️ You declared family members outside Canada

If you do NOT declare them now, you may NEVER be able to sponsor them later.

5. Upload Supporting Documents

You will need to upload:
your Notice of Decision showing you are a protected person
identity documents (passport, birth certificate, marriage Certificate if available)
photos that meet upcoming specifications
any police certificates & medical exam info once requested

You uploaded PR-specification photos:
*Correct size
*White background
*Recent (within 6 months)

6. Pay Fees Online

Once your forms are complete inside the portal, you will be prompted to pay:
the permanent residence application fee
biometrics fee (if required)
You pay these fees online through the portal when you submit your application.

7. Submit the Application

After completing the forms and paying fees:
* review everything carefully
* submit the application in the portal
* be sure you get a confirmation of receipt (AOR) in your portal dashboard or by email

Once submitted:
IRCC will review your application
you may be asked for a biometric appointment
IRCC may ask for additional documents before making a decision

What to Expect After You Submit
* IRCC sends an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR), timing can vary sometimes: 1–3 months or often: 3–6 months or in busy periods: longer than 6 months
* You’ll get instructions for biometrics if needed
* IRCC may message you inside the portal if they need more information
* You can track progress and see messages right in your portal dashboard.

Hoping this will help you out to fill-up your application and good luck
