Hello
I am a protected person who has PR card. I landed in Canada in 2010 and i havent travelled anywhere since then. So, this year i would like to travel to Asia. I am filling out travel document application and i have a question about guarantor.

Instruction of the application says "guarantor must be included one of the following groups: Dentist, medical doctor or chiropractor
Judge, magistrate or police officer (municipal, provincial or RCMP)
Lawyer (member of a provincial bar association), or notary in Quebec
Mayor
Minister of religion authorized under provincial or territorial
law to perform marriages
Notary public
Optometrist
Pharmacist
Postmaster
Principal of a primary or secondary school
Professional accountant (member of APA, CA, CGA,
CMA, PA or RPA)
Professional engineer (P. Eng., Eng. in Quebec)
Senior administrator in a community college
(including CEGEP)
Senior administrator or teacher in a university
Veterinarian.

I have friends who are canadian citizen and willing to be my guarantor. Unfortunately, none of them are included the groups mentioned above. What should i do if i dont know anyone who is included those groups?

Thanks for your reply.

I'm little confused as refugee travel document application states that guarantor must be included in one of those mentioned groups. However, cic website says that if i am applying inside Canada, the guarantor could be Canadian citizen who is over 18 years old, and holds canadian passport. Or if someone is applying for travel document outside Canada, guarantor could be either Canadian citizen, or occupation-based gurator who is member of one of those groups.
I am applying inside Canada, so can i have a guarantor who is not a member of those groups, but fulfills the other requirements?
