Hi All,

I have applied for LMIA based GTS work permit but haven't received any further update on it.
Application submission date : 21st October 2020

Anyone else facing this issue or anyone who got work permit?

I have the same submission date. and oct 27 biometric submission. Abu Dhabi VAC. still waiting for any update.

Your visa timeline?

I applied in October which might get processed next year. Asking others to post if they get any update. So that we can predict timelines as much as possible.

They are processing applications randomly it seems but most likely if its filed in Oct then yes next year Feb-March you can expect something.

even after receiving BVL its few months of wait time.

Biometrics Request Letter: November 12, 2020
Biometrics Completed: November 20, 2020.

When should I expect Passport Request Letter? And once we get the Passport Request Letter does that mean WP is approved?

Medical and additional doc request: Sep 2020
Medical passed: Oct 6th 2020
Biometrics: Oct 20th, 2020
BVL: Oct 26th,2020

Eligibility under review from Oct 2020.
no update after that.

It seems like it might have approved but not reflected yet. You will get it soon. I hope.

Please would you mention all submitted documents in the application from employer specific to police certificate if you don't mind?

Hopes so, i dont know right now as additional document review they started after I receive BVL. Next day on 27th oct they started per GC key so not sure when they ll make final decision.

Police certificate was not required in my case.

Here is the full timeline:

My representative applied closed WP under the GTS program online from Malaysia and I'm an Indian citizen.

Application submitted: November 10, 2020
Medical: Upfront
BIL: November 12, 2020
Biometrics Completed: November 17, 2020
BVL and PPR: January 5, 2021

Got the visa stamped yesterday. The work permit is also approved.
