Group of 5 sponsorship - Police Check From Sponsers

Hello everyone,

Quick question - which Canadian police check is required from the sponsers who are sponsoring family on the group of 5 sponsorship.

I live in Toronto and was wondering is it the normal police check that’s 20$ and can be done online?

Criminal Record Check

• Submit for each sponsor a copy of a criminal record check (non-vulnerable sector check), issued within 6 months of the application submission to ROC-O.
• If any of the above individuals has previous criminal convictions, submit copies of applicable court documents which show the disposition of the charges.

I would assume that the name check is sufficient but call IRCC’s Call Centre for clarification.

I was wondering whether you got your answer regarding the criminal record check! I'm going through the same process and would like to know whether the name-based check would be sufficient as it's almost impossible to speak to an agent at IRCC call centre.
