Received a letter from Quebec immigration dated 03/17/10 that my file is in the queue for interview in New York. Did anybody receive this letter? Where do they usually have the interviews, New York or Buffalo?

hey, i received the same letter - "Perm 124 Attente d'entrevue.doc" - "Objet: Entrevue de selection a New York", in which they are letting me know to ... wait to get called for an interview. It's dated from February 18 and as of today I have not yet been called for an interview. My profession is not on the list of demanded professions, so my case is not a priority I guess.

But just wanted to let you know that other people have received a similar letter, because I freaked out when I got mine and I had never heard of such letter anyway.

Best of luck to you!

I am just wondering can someone move to Quebec (with CSQ) while he is waiting for Federal Application.

Is he eligible to work or study within Quebec? Obviously he is not the PR yet, he needs to get a visa from Canada consulate. Right?

Please reply based on your experience. Thanks in advance.

Hi Florida, when did you apply for CSQ? what month or date ?

I filed (with FedEx) on October 15th, 2009 they charged my credit card on November 25, 2009 I received my Accuse on December 12, 2009 (dated Nov. 26) and then the Attente d'entrevue letter on March 1, 2010 (dated February 18).

Here's an interesting table they published on the website to give us an idea of when the interviews in New York are in the next couple of months:

immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/en/divers/Programmation-missions-travailleurs-lieu-en.pdf

After the letter of attente, how do they contact me to schedule the interview? by mail, phone or email?

Good luck to everyone

Thanks alot...i live in the US now and ive lived here since i was 17, so i believe i will only need the pcc for the US because the longest i have stayed out of the country was 3 months. Now the only thing is my husband, he lived in saudi arabia from age 13-22yrs because of his dad working there, and i checked the immigration website on how to get the pcc for saudi arabia and this is what it says:

"Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Yes. However, certificates are available only to current legal residents.

If you need a police certificate, your immigration processing office will give you a request letter. If you have any questions about this, please contact your immigration processing office.

If your application is being processed at the Canadian High Commission in London, you are not required to obtain a police certificate until the London visa office sends you a police certificate request letter with instructions on how to apply.

If you are applying at the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, UAE, you should submit the police certificate with your application. You can contact the visa office at fax: (971 2) 694-0396 or e-mail: abu-dhabi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca Please include your immigration file number if you have one.

For applications being processed at any other office, e-mail: riyadh.visa @ international.gc.ca or fax: 966-1-488-9657. Please include the file number, the office where you applied and your mailing address.

The police certificate request letter will be sent to you by mail. You must present this letter, along with valid identification and proof of legal residency in Saudi Arabia to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If they approve you, you must then apply for the police certificate in person at the relevant police headquarters.

The thing is my husband does not live there, therefore he is not a current resident. So, does that mean he doesnt have to get the pcc from saudi arabia?
I really hope not coz that will be sooo difficult.

I have the same case, my husband also lived and work in Saudi Arabia. I did not submit his PCC when I submitted my documents. However, they sent me a request for additional documents requiring the Saudi Arabia PCC.

We live in the Metro DC Area. My husband submitted his request for PCC in the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington DC. You may want to check their website to find out what documents should be attached to the request. Processing time is 4 to 6 months.
