Got new passport...how and where to send the copies?

Hi guys
I received my new passport as my old one was about to expire soon. My application is in process at Vegreville. I was wondering how should I send the copies of my new passport. Do I have to mail/fax/e-mail them?

I sent a copy of my new passport to vegreville with a letter of explanation containing my name, application number and uci.

The address is in the cic website that says vegreville office (general correspondence.)

I also put in urgent documents, right after the office name. Before that address. I guess it helped cause my file got updated only less than 2 weeks after.

@marsiangal thanks for the info. It shows on E-cas that they received .... on ..(Date)....?

Not exactly, but I had to send in a copy of my new passport because I told them I started using my husband's last name. And it took a while for the new passport to come in the mail. But yah 2 weeks after I sent it my new passport copy, when I logged in to my ecas my name was updated so that is how I know.
