I know one family they are refugee claiment . They have been taking this service since they arrived . I don’t know how they received it but when I asked they told their doctor referred them. So I thought she might get one. Why not give a try. This might help her. I know how it feels when you loose your child custody plus your immigration situation is not suitable. I hope she will find a way.plus social workers are working for Physcho social. It’s a limited service I think 12 seasons provided to the person who needs it. Any of them would be great help for her right now besides the lawyer.

Given the large volume of asylum seekers it may be difficult to obtain and there are likely a wait list. Also pointing out that psychologists aren't covered under provincial healthcare neither are social workers. You may be appointed one based on your interaction with various vulnerable groups. Under the refugee health plan you can access some limited services but would explore what is available in your area and whether there is a wait list before going to your family doctor. Most GPs who do not work primarily with refugees and likely will have no idea who to refer to. GPs can also provide help if you think you need medication.

But situation is different in Quebec, I’m not sure about other provinces but I know about QC , being a social work student what I know and have seen qc gov provides a lot of services for refugee. Services given to the person in needs. Not everybody.well there is no harm of trying. I hope she finds one :)
