GmC notes

Hello everyone,

I paid the right of perm residence fee about a month ago and i am not sure if the confirmation has been sent to my visa office yet or not so i was considering ordering gmc notes to see whats going on with my husbands file. would i know if they received confirmation through the gmc notes?

Also, who gets to review these notes the sponsor or the principal applicant? Or both?

Yes, you will know from the notes if they know you paid your RPRF.

If your file has already been sent to the VO, you need to ask for the principal applicant's file, so that you will have the entire file, not only the part about the sponsor. So the request has to be made in the name of the principal applicant and, when you get to the "File Type", you need to select "Immigration file: permanent residence".

Thank u so much, i also sent additional proof of my husband and mines relationship being genuine, pictures an honeymoon photos and stuff, i dont know if theu receive that or not either so would the notes specify that as well?!

If you want to confirm if CIC has received your additional proof, just call. I orderd GMCS notes and my file has been with CIC for 9 months now. At the time that I requested the GCMS notes, it was 8 1/2 months that our application had been with CIC. When we received the answer to our request for the GMCS notes (nearly a month later) there was nothing on them that helped. I called CIC and asked why that would be and the agent said that it was too soon for there to be anything on the GMCS notes. So if your file has not been with CIC for very long (shorter than mine was with them) then ordering the GMCS notes may not help you.

Yes, they will. You just have to know how to read the notes.

I ask for my file every month and every little thing I've sent them by snail mail or e-mail is in the file - sometimes the VO even makes notes about them. The only downside is that it takes 30 days to get the notes. But, at least, you see everything that's in the file

I need notes for then pinciple applicant, my huband. His application is with the VO office is cairo, egypt. They dont answer questions over the phone according to their website only by email which i have sent them one over a month ago and still got no answer so i will take my chances with the notes.
