Global talent stream work permit from USA

Based on IRCC website- Global talent stream process will take 14 calendar days to get the work permit.

Iam living in the US and applied for work permit under approved GTS LMIA. I don’t require a medical test. I submitted
my work permit application on October 27. Did any of you on the same boat? Is there any one who applied like this and received work permit? How many days it took you receive passport request?

Do you have an update on your application yet ?
I am in the exactly same situation.
Also how did you calculate the 4.5 weeks processing time, as according to the CIC website the processing time for applicants for work permit from US is 2 weeks.

I didnt get any update yet. This is my 5th week.

@samy34178 I will touch my 2 week mark tomorrow as I applied on Nov 29th.
I called IRCC today and after waiting for around 40 minutes they told me my application has had no updates and doesn't look like anyone got assigned to it. The person left a note on the application to expedite the process.
You could do the same as well if you haven't already, not sure how useful it will be though.

I have been trying to reach this number, getting response as "call cannot be completed, please check the number".

I am calling from USA , so assume I can call as is. But not sure why it not going.

@samy34178 This number works from within Canada only. I am visiting Canada right now, I guess that's why my call went through.

@gunneri- I still have not received a decision on my application. This is my 6th week. I have a question, having both express entry and work permit submitted in parallel is fine ? have you had both or just work permit?
