Ghost update-what does it mean?

Hi guys, I am new to this forum. I received a ghost update 4 days ago, after one month of MEP. No change in profile, no email. Does anyone know what could this mean? Could this be a negative sign or is this good? I’ve been reading other threads and usually people get PPR after ghost updates, but my ghost update was 4 days ago and now it is silence...

same here. application status from "submitted" changed into "application/profile updated" but nothing changed.
I would guess it's a good sign. I'm just under 3rd month of application in, so I was not expecting any revelation lol.

Application Updated .... like 3-4 days ago? but it went back to "submitted" when I logged out and again in

Yeah I pretty much have the same timeline. Are you inland applicant?

I received my PPR within 12 hours of noticing my first Ghost update (in all honesty I might have gotten my first and second close to each other because my application still looked like the IP2 status everyone talks about)

I know of people who've received a PPR after a ghost, an ADR after a ghost and I know people who have had a ghost update a month ago still waiting.

It may not necessarily mean anything related to an imminent PPR but it's always a good sign as it means there was some progress made on your file.

If you guys are CEC, give them a call. Your application might, emphasis on might be approved and you are waiting on a email for a landing interview. It can take days to weeks to get the email from what I read, so just give them a call to take a little bit of the worry away.

In my case it was just the very first ghost update so I dont think Im anywhere close to PPR xDD

Ghost update happens mostly when the case officer makes a note or comment on your case. This comment could be “Case approved” or could be anything else.

So ghost update doesn’t mean case is approved always but it is a sign your case is been worked on.
