Hi,

I have another question...

When you guys went to the border to get your work permit, did the officer ask for the original version of each document?
I am working abroad since 7 years and most of my original documents are at my parents place, so I only have the printed scans. Same applies to reference letters, and even worse, the actual Job contract (I have an electronic version only).

Should I be worried?

Thank you!
S.

Answering my own question, the ambassy told me it was not necessary.
I'll keep this post up to date according to the officer's actual requirements.

Please let us know how things go. I'm thinking of getting a permit on the border myself and want to be well prepared.

Thanks!

Hi,

The agent asked for the letter of introduction only, and my passport of course. No other document was required by him.

However, I think it may depend. Don't forget he may ask ANY document of he feels like it. For example I think it is always a good idea having everything ready just in case, such as receipt of insurance etc...

Hope it helped!
S.
