GCMS shows 'Security Screening' and waiting... - let's gather here!

Anyone waiting in ss for more than 6 months? Mine has started in May.

my started in June. Still waiting. I heard that the average processing time for ss is 8 months? I have a friend who waited for 12 months for SS. and total processing time was 16 months.

Hi everyone,

New bird into this group...
EE and I think I applied both under CEC and FSW. (both criteria met)

AOR: Mar 5th, 2019
MEP: April 10th, 2019
SS: Jun 27th, 2019

I ordered my GCMS note on Aug 23th and I haven't got my notes yet.....
I didn't bother to order CBSA notes at all..

All the information was obtained by calling IRCC which clearly was not an easy experience.

I know it is very frustrating waiting for updates. At least now, I have people in the same boat.

Keep my fingers crossed.

IRCC agent doesnt know if you are under security screening or not because he reads from IRCC GCMS which all security details are hidden. He know only when your security check initiated.

Yah, also your partner was under comprehensive security screening but its finalized. I don't understand why its hidden, usually in status mention progress by CBSA.Anyway, you can order CSIS notes to find out if your application was forwarded to them by CBSA or not.

I haven't order CBSA notes. STILL WAITING FOR GCMS notes..
BTW, what is the difference between security check and security screen?

If you have someone in Canada friend or relative ask him/her to apply for CBSA note through the following link as representative for you and you’ll need to sign the consent form
https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en
Or through any website provide this service also you’ll need to sign the consent form.
The difference between them that security initiated first as normal procedure and if VO agent find red flag the application will be forwarded to CBSA for security screening.

This is my cbsa notes: based on the logic your stated above, my partner's security screening has began and finished both on 2019/09/10!
Which could make sense if it was just me who needed security check but under
"Security Screening Type (A34): Comprehensive
# of People Sent for Screening: 2"
It says that two people were sent for security screening!
Also, do you know if there is any way to know whether or not CSIS screening has began and when?

based on @YoYo81's logic, you and your wife were both sent to comprehensive ss on 05/22. But your wife's check was done on 9/10.

I also notice on 9/10, your status also updated.

i know several other Chinese applicants done theirs SS these days. When they noticed the ghost updates and called, they were told all steps done just wait for finalize.

If the notes mentioned passed that’s it. Never back to in progress. Maybe the agent was wrong, order GCMS note to make sure

Hello everyone. I just got my GCMS and i noticed S16 is written on 3/4pages. However, my security has not started yet (as stated on page 2 of the note). Does that mean i'm in comprehensive security screening?
