GCMS rcmp before eligibility

hi everyone
I am an april applicant, I received my gcsm notes and it says that only RCMP check has been done. Eligibility, medical and other say not started, nothing else has been done.
I am worried is it normal they did not start after almost 8 months?

also does it make sense to start with rcmp check? Why bothering if I am not eligible? I thought eligibility was the first criteria assessed and other things were assessed from there?

anyone has similar experience?

It seems unusual but who knows what CIC's process is? It is possible that your notes had not been updated(at the time of your request) or they haven't started though that will seem unusual especially if you have not received the ackowledgment of receipt(contains file # starting with B).

You can send a nice email to inquire about the status of your application and see if that may jolt things. Hope all goes well for you. Happy Holidays!

thank you senoritabella for your answer. I actually received AOR almost 4 months ago, so it is strange to me, maybe as you say the system was not up to date.
I will have to be patient I guess.
