Submitted application on Nov 16, 2023. Fingerprints completed, Police check completed, and Test completed by Jan 23, 2024. Since then no updates at all for almost 4 months now. Got GCMS notes and said I was assigned RC-8090 as well. Looks like I have a long wait as well like most people here :(
Am in similar situation (in fact worse as I applied on 3rd Oct - nothing on background and LPP since Dec 23 and assigned to RC-8090 per gcms)… good luck to us I guess. :) … btw, what’s your office.. Scarborough?

At least you applied in Nov 2023, so it may not be as bad as you may think. If you applied before say July 2023, then it may not be good.

My main office is Vancouver according to the GCMS notes I had requested 8 weeks ago. But the test was assigned to Calgary and the secondary office is RC-8090

Hi Everyone,

I received my GCMS notes today. It was all good until I saw this group. :)

My LPP is assigned to RC-8090 and there is a due date that says 2025/01/12.

I recently submitted my scanned passport copy on April 17.

BG is completed in Feb..

Can someone tell me how bad is it in my case? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

AOR - Jan 18
Test completed - 18 Feb
Background - 21 Feb
Ghost update - April 5
Passport Req - April 17
Passport Submitted - April 17

No updates after that. I understand mine is fairly better than others who are waiting for more than a year. But I want to know if my GCMS notes is giving any clue that I am going to wait a long time too.

It's crazy my file isn't non-routine and it's still taking longer than most people...
this has been said by others on this forum but I wouldn't index too much on the term "non-routine" as that encapsulates a number of different aspects of an application and has no correlation to the amount of time processing said application would take.

I agree, as I've said numerous times before on this forum, IRCC just uses non-routine whenever it's convenient to them. It's as arbitrary as it gets.
