Thanks

Unfortunately I am not residing in Canada nor have any representative over there. So, I have to order notes through any service agency

People usually use either visafile or gcmsnow. I used the latter, got the notes in a month.

Hi,

CIC is now rolling out a new computer system called GCMS (Global Case Management System) for use in both Canadian and international offices. You can use "//gcmsnotes.ca/ " , for those who applied for a Canadian visa (Immigration, Student, Visitor or Work visa). This service allows applicants to obtain information contained in their visa file. This visa file is often referred to as GCMS. It is the most comprehensive and up-to-date information that can be legally obtained from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada(IRCC).

Thanks for the link to another option!
Though frankly, I don't like their design: makes you think they're trying to trick customers into thinking they're an official IRCC service. Not to mention their fees are higher.

Also, what do you mean "CIC is now rolling out"? GCMS has been there for a while.

You know what, the more I think about it, the more it seems like a liiiitle bit of a fraud.
Maybe we should let the IRCC know that someone is impersonating them?

^ I thought it was just the URL, but they even copied the layout of Government of Canada websites. You are most certainly right they need to be reported as they are passing themselves off as a service of the government.

When should i apply for gcms notes.

Whenever you want to get information or concern about your file. You can order GCMS notes as many time as you wish, it takes 1 month to receive GCMC notes. Normally the people ordered around 4 weeks after submitted PR application.

Hello

I am temporarily living in Canada on visitor status.

- Under which category should I request my GCMS? (Privacy Act or Access to Information)
- Also, I didn't have any UCI issued on my ITA or AOR. I had a UCI issued for my TRV. Do I need to have a UCI for my EE profile or can I use the one from my TRV profile?

Thank you

Privacy act, it's free.
UCI is universal, use yours from TRV, it's the same.
