Hello Friends,
I need help for GCMS notes explanation.

I applied for GCMS notes on March 2, 2018, and I got my GCMS notes last week, April 6, 2018. See below this how my notes looked like.

1. If Criminality is passed, does Security need to be updated too? I am not sure if it's in progress or its considered as finalized depends on the Criminality passed?

What is expected for the next step? will I get PPR soon?

I APPRECIATE YOUR FEEDBACKS!

Hello everyone , I’m a PR in Canada and I applied to sponsor my husband in Nigeria.please I have a mind boggling question.
I requested for gcm notes 18th of Mach and got it April 19, the note says that interview is required and the officer updated this on October 30, 2017. But I haven’t heard anything from them since the initial submission of the application on November 2016. Also what does it mean when the file location is saying “pending inland action” please help anyone.

@legalfalcon what is the difference between information sharing: "complete" versus "NRT"? Why does it say information sharing is complete for some applicants but NRT for others?

It is the same. Just a different way of saying. Complete or no trace found.

Hi guys, I've got a mind boggling question for you all. In the very first message of this forum eagle333 explained that if the security pages of the GCMS notes says the following

ADMISSIBILITIES: Security

UCI#: XXX
Family name: XXX
Given name: XXX
Type: Security

With an S.15(1) code written in the top right corner. Then it means that the security has been completed.

But I have been advised by some seniors that it means that the file is under security screening.

I'm super confused now what to make of it. Can someone please shed light on it.

Many thanks

@legalfalcon Any ideas?

The information floating is incorrect. I wonder why people write things without knowing or reading the law.

All GCMS notes will have the security information retracted under s15 / s16. The GCMS notes are released by IRCC. Only only in the GCMS notes released by CBSA, also called CBSA notes, the security information is not retracted.

The section under which security is retracted is either s15 or s16 of the Access to Information Act. Security is the last stage of an application and only after it is completed, the PPR is issued.

To read on s15 / s16 see

Thank you @legalfalcon , this helps significantly.

How long does it take for usual security to be done. My AOR is May 17 but my application wasn't touched by London VO until late February this year. Prior to that criminality, medical and eligibility were all passed.

Many thanks.

I think you really mean *redacted* here. Retracted could mean something else (like they are flip-flopping on their original claim).

Have you ever attempted to file a complaint with the Information Commissioner on these redactions?

The visa officer working your file thinks you are eligible for PR You will pass once the supervisor agrees after going over your file again. The due dates are just dates for them to pick the file up again which really means nothing because they can pick it up before or after that date I have ordered three sets of notes already and forth coming next week I have noticed the due the file usually gets worked on around those dates.

App received 25 Jan 2017
AOR 9 Feb 2017
Medicals, PCC Sched A all up front and still waiting sent additional document in Dec 2017 my sponsor notes said that they are in the final decision stage so I am hoping next week before my notes arrive they make a decision.

Another thing your security has not started as yet. That is the unpredictable stage. Some take a couple months some take a year.

Dude I waited for too long...the wait is scary
