Why I want to leave Ireland? Have you ever lived in Europe? It is not about politics. Weather sucks in Ireland ;) Yea, Yea, Canada is cold, I know but at least you have a proper sprint and summer. Second thing is that it is a little bit depressing to live in a country where you only see sun from time to time and you cannot really do many outdoor activities simply because there is no infrastructure. You do not even have space to go cycling properly into the woods or something. As a country it is very limited what activities you can do it. There is not many attractions here.

Second thing is that it is expensive as well. I cannot complain on my wage or the job, quiet opposite. However I will not take a hit by moving to Canada, actually quiet opposite. My partner also will benefit from it and the potential for growth is also bigger specially if you would like to open your own business etc. etc. There is a lot of factors that we took into our consideration ;) houses are very small etc. etc. etc. I own the house here so I will have something to come back to if for some reason we will decide that it is not for us but I do not think so. I always wanted to move to US and I was close to make this happen however Covid demolished all of these plans ;) Life moves on and we decided we will go to Canada and see. Maybe in the future we will then move to US who knows.
TL;DR I'm in much comfort but the weather sucks so I wanna move.

Thins like houses, cars, electronics, daily kind of things are very very very expensive here ;) So yea, we see a lot of downsites by living here and we want to try something else and no one can blame us for it ;) we do not even have a proper summer here, I am fed up with all that rain and freaking wind - plus as I said it there is not much you cna do it here as infrastructure just sucks

Everyone have their own reasons and I know tons of Irish people that are moving to Canada. In Ireland if you are not in a good paying job it is expensive to live. Rent is crazy right now. For a small two bed apartment in cities like Galway/Limerick which are locate don the west side of the country you have to pay around 1200/1500EUR a month. Dublin is a league in its own, apartment costs are as near as 2000/2500EUR for nothing special.

B1 (CLB5) gives you 1 points per skill. So, yes, if you score CLB5 in each of the 4 sections of the test, you'll get 4 additional points.
@armitabbsn what jrossi and @ImpatientKangaroo said.

To answer your other question, I got to a B1 in about 3-4 months. The jump from B1 to B2 is more intense. That alone took me 4 months. If you're wondering, B2-C1 is far more difficult, you can expect to spend at least a year if you're aiming to go from B2 to C1 for some reason.

So tldr, 3-4 months of roughly 3 hours a day got me to a B1, but ymmv.

Need some opinion on this....
is there a specific time period of stay required inside Canada before one can apply for the dependent's application? As in if someone gets a PR, does the landing, but has planned getting married soon. So can the processing of dependent start after getting married shortly post PR landing. (getting married outside Canada).
Appreciate people to share some light on this...
Anyone ?? Response on this please....

I have never read anywhere about stay and related obligations before getting married. Let's see if anyone else knows about this in particular. I think you have to be more concerned about convincing the VO about the genuineness of this marriage if the spouse is from India, since IRCC deals with a lot of marriage fraud
@scylla @Naturgrl
please refer to Original post and respond

Immigration minister: Canada to resume Express Entry draws for skilled workers in “near term”
A spotlight on Immigration Minister Sean Fraser's discussion about the future of Express Entry.

When asked about when Canada would once again hold Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser replied draws would resume “in the near term” and said that he was looking into how to make the Express Entry system more flexible.

Fraser sat down with the president and CEO of the Business Council of Canada, Goldy Hyder, for a discussion on Canadian immigration. The event was streamed on the Canadian Club Toronto website on February 16.

While the immigration minister said there was no announcement on when CEC draws would resume, but he suggested that they would return “in the near future” and that Express Entry would start to look more normal in the coming years.

We do need to resume, in the near future, draws for federal skilled workers,” Fraser said. “If you actually look at the immigration levels plan over the next couple of years the balance is shifting back and by year three… a record number of federal skilled workers, including through the Canadian Experience Class, will be welcomed to Canada.

By no means do I want to communicate that there will be any kind of abandonment of—what I would argue—is one of the most successful immigration programs anywhere in the world.”
Fraser also said he was looking to add more flexibility to the Express Entry system. He suggested that Express Entry could be used to respond to short-term needs including welcoming people into smaller communities, sectors in high demand, and “people who are coming from a particular region that has the kind of educational institutions that will train the workers we need in strategically important sectors.”

“Building this flexibility into the Express Entry system is something I’m personally digging into right now because I think it’s going to enable us to respond in a more nimble way when we do see the pace of transformation is only increasing over time,” Fraser said.
Fraser had previously hinted that occupation-specific Express Entry draws could be a possibility in the future in a meeting with Canadian immigration lawyers.

Expanding pathways to permanent residence for international students and temporary foreign workersthrough Express Entry is one of Fraser’s priorities listed in his minister’s mandate letter. He is also tasked with ensuring immigration better supports small- and medium-size communities by expanding the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot and moving forward on the Municipal Nominee Program. Since taking office in the fall, Fraser has already made the Atlantic Immigration Pilot a permanent program, which was one of the other items on the list.
