Hmm. Interesting. Sounds like it will never fall to the borderline of 490 then with an influx of candidates with high 500 scores.
This was an exceptional case, usually the new candidates added to the pool over 480+ have been around 2000 between the draws. Don’t forget that 500+ Candidates usually receive nomination through provincial draws & recently ontario has handed over several PNP invites.

according to my analysis, by the end of December or in first week of January, the score will be in high 480s.

Well, fingers crossed on that! I wasn't sure whether they will continue the drawing after the start of new year as I was assuming they need people to refill the high score pool and they can restart the drawing in a later time.

Good to see cut off going below 500. 500+ was atrocious.

Yeah! But the number of new candidates look scary
That's pretty normal. There are a significant number of new applicants that enter the pool every two weeks. That's why the scores only drop a bit each time and at some point will most likely plateau like they did before.

Do you guys think it might get to 471 sometime next year? I know it's hard to predict with the changes coming soon but I still want to know other opinions

IMO it's a pretty big gamble and you should either increase your score or look into the PNP programs. Who knows what will happen once IRCC makes the TEER switch.

Thanks for giving your opinion. The only way I can increase my score is by learning French from 0, that would take at least 1 year (being optimistic). I will have a deep look into every PNP option but yeah, we can’t predict, fingers crossed the draws come to 471 at some point next year…

I don't know whether I am too pessimistic about recent draws. My gut feeling is it would be extremely difficult to get picked under 500 or 490 given the recent huge spikes of 500+ applicants. For those who are outside of Canada without any Canadian experiences (e.g. education or working), are there any other components to boost the score?
