FSW - Cairo / Egypt Office - ONLY 2009 Applicants

hey everyone my husband got his ppr yesterday and his medicals expire in 3 weeks. how long does it take to get his passport back with the visa? should we book the flight now and hope for the best?

i received my 2nd AOR from cairo office on Aug 2009, till date the status is "received by visa office" and i didn't receive the medical documents yet
is there is anyone here that applied in july 2009 and received his medical?

i havnt got a second aor and im assuming theyve got the medicals. they just sent an email stating theyre ready to issue the visa and reminded my huband his medicals will expire jan 11th.

Dear Kelsy,
i do not think that you should book flights now as you do not know exactly when shall the passport be ready with visa, i beleive it used to take them 2-3 months or so.
i think the reminder of the medical expiry was put in order for you to know that you should submit your passport b4 it, no need to worry

also can you please state your timing of sending files to Nova scotcia, reciving their reply, sending documents to Cairo visa office

how come they are working on july and one got his passport?
if a july 2009 applicant got his passport then they must have worked him for a year or so???????????????? :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X

why do you look surprized???
CIC annoucned that for cairo office, it is taking them 19 months, and whenever any one send an enquiry about his file with the emabssy, it replies back saying that the file will not be processed before 24 months... so this delay is not new

when did you sumbit your full file to the embassy?

I have prepared my self for two years from now to hear from cairo visa office. i don't know why they are taking so long to examine our files.

I feel really depressed I've been waiting for so long and I don't what's happening with my application , I have a Lawyer in Canada who filed my application and everything , On-Line Service says that they've started processing my application since December 7th 2008!!

Guys any one knows what's going on ??????? should I sen them an e-mail myself or hit my head against the wall ! I appreciate any reply !

I think you should send them an email. I don't know why cairo visa office is taking all this time to review our applications.

@ Drammar did you check with your lawyer about the processing time i mean is this normal or what if you have checked with him please share his answer so we can all figure out how this visa office is working

Again cairo visa office. I think the delay should be invistigated from the attorney you are dealing with in canada because you will not find satisfying answers from Cairo office.

No news from the new applicants about the 2nd AOR?
