Thanks and Kind Regards,

Dear, please send a CSE to SGVO. And you'll have your reply.
Don't be in needless tension as you can easily have your query replied by raising a CSE to SGVO

I raised a CSE yesterday night and got the below reply today afternoon

"Dear Sir,

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

Your application was received in Singapore on Nov 17, 2014 and an Acknowledgement of Receipt email was sent to you on Dec 5, 2014. Your application is currently in a queue awaiting initial review.

Files in the Federal Skilled Work category are processed in order of receipt, based on the date on which the complete application and fee payment were received in our office. Once the file has been reviewed, we will contact the applicant directly to advise the result of the initial review and/or any next steps in the processing of the application, such as whether an interview will be required. If your address or contact information changes during processing, you must inform this office in writing.

Processing times to finalization may vary depending on the number of new applications received, annual quota and the individual complexity of each application.

For the processing times of permanent resident applications in Singapore, please refer to the CIC website at:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp

Please note that processing times are calculated from the date the application is received by the Singapore visa office.

Applicants can check the status of their case on the CIC website by clicking on Client Application Status.

We hope this information will be of assistance."

Hi,

I wanted to inquire about an issue I have with my police clearance.

I am currently living in Singapore and got my Machine Readable Passport (MRP) from here a few years ago. You may notice that in the MRP there is no part which mentions 'ISSUED AT' but there is something called 'ISSUING AUTHORITY' which in my case is Dhaka. The problem is I got my passport in Singapore and there is a seal which states 'HIGH COMMISSION OF BANGLADESH, SINGAPORE'. Therefore, in my FSWP Application I mentioned that the issuing country is Singapore.

To me at least Issuing Authority and Issuing Country is not the same thing.

My complication is that I need a police clearance from both Bangladesh and Singapore. To make the process smooth, I applied for the Bangladesh police clearance. I got my certificate this morning but it states that the passport was issued in 'DHAKA'.

Could the forum members please comment whether this will be an issue and any suggestions on how I should approach this.

Please note that I travel a lot and I have always mentioned that my passport was issued in Singapore and have alhamdulillah never been rejected visas.

Dear friends,

Early December, I received one email from SGVO and He had concerns about my reference letters.

Because I only submitted the reference letters without other documents, such as Payslip, HR letters etc, I tried to get the additional documents (HR letters, Payslip, Tax payment details for latest 5 years) and submitted to SGVO.

I thought it would be fine. However, I received another email from SGVO and he mentioned 'Thank you for this explanation, but the concern is that the submitted references are not official i.e. they were not issued by company officials or under the company's authority at time of issuance. That is the misrepresentation of concern.'

The reference letter was prepared and sent by my refrees. Can help advise what I should do now? Thanks so much!
SGVO do conduct spontaneous check on the accuracy of documents received, however this is rare and very unusual. Unless they have some huge suspicions over your provided documents, chances are that your files are randomly selected for fraud checks. I see that you are from Singapore too, I personally feel that if you have provided true copies of your employment certificate, there shouldn't be any concern.

'the concern is that the submitted references are not official i.e. they were not issued by company officials or under the company's authority at time of issuance. That is the misrepresentation of concern.' I feel that this statement spells trouble, though I may be wrong. Could you provide another employment certificate and possibly a name card of your reporting supervisor for further verification? Please be reminded that misrepresentation can constitute to having your visa rejected for at least 3 years. Rather than having your application repatriated, please do the necessary explanation cautiously.

Hope this helps.

I don't think that it will be a big issue as everything is authentic. You carry on. And even if there is a problem you have all the answers to rectify it.
