My ECAS show that" We started processing your application on 24-OCT-2014. However, I have not received any further update/medical request so far. I made a CSE regarding this. Today I got a reply as below:

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

We are currently reviewing the information provided by you in support of this application.

We estimate that the review may exceed the average processing timeframe set out in the Acknowledgement of Receipt letter which you received.

Often, delays in the processing of an application are out of our control as some processing steps require coordination with external authorities.

Our office will contact you as soon as the review is completed, or as soon as more information, documents or an interview are required.

Delays in the processing of visa applications are always disappointing to all concerned, but rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure efficient and expeditious processing of all visa applications.

I am not sure what type of review is going on? Also, they mentioned that the review may exceed average timeframe...what does it mean??
Can any senior member explain this..??

For average processing time frame checking they mentioned below link in the AOR...

www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times

You can check also here.....

http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp

but Singapore's processing time is still showing 28 months... :-\ :-\

I think its a common reply fro SGVO.. 'REVIEW' is a very broad word :)

Selim bhai, i do not want to cause you panic but pls prepare for a probable call to your office from them, as i have done the same. I have talked to my boss about such an event and he is ready to talk if they call. He has a copy of my ref letter so that he can quickly refer to it while talking. I hope such a call never comes and that we all receive MR's.

That's a good information. In their mail they informed you about the coordination with the third parties. As far as i know when they conduct background check they do it with the help of third party/external authorities. If these sources don't submit the report within the stipulated time then the VO doesn't have anything to do but to wait. In their reply they mentioned that. But i hope you'll receive good news soon. Hope for that.

Dear Raisa Apu,

Thanks for your response. Do you know what they actually do during background check? And, how much approx time need to complete this?

Brother they will do all kinds of check........your job, your family background your education all. i mean each and everything about you. And i believe that these third party or outside sources could be our own security agencies. In the case of India the consulate people go to there offices or call to the offices to cross check about his/her job. But for our country i believe they do everything with the help of our security agencies.

Some applications are so well documented that VO can process it faster, much faster. And his/her experience is from Singapore I think, which is why background checks can be done much faster.

But it took us more than one month for the file transfer from PER received. I don't think there are any differences between his/ her application and our applications at CIO ::)

30 mins ago received my GCMS note mail. exactly 30 days after application they sent it. GCMS generation date 28 nov 2014.

Security = Update not yet passed
Criminality = passed
Eligibility = passed
Medical = Not started

They gave me 68 points against my application.

N.B.: they gave points for experience only for the Main NOC which i mentioned in 12(a). they didn't give point for other NOC.

whats your self calculated points?

Aa ha! So this is what is happening with cases of those who are yet to receive Mr mails. Security!! Seems they engaged some external agents to find out info on you. SGVO is waiting for update. I hope i am wrong.

Wait wait! This report does NOT reflect ur current conditions! It was generated on Nov 28. But ur med and ppr were issued on Dec 12! So for u the Security factor passed soon after this report was generated. Oh, that is good!

bhai i think they will put "PASSED" under security when they will stamped VISA on my passport. cause they mentioned clearly in MR and PPR request mail that if i do any crime let them inform about this crime by this time. i think thats the reason nothing else. waiting for ur GCMS note.. :)

So, it is clear that they will not deduct the experience if you have experience on other NOCs

Thanks Zia bhai for sharing this info.

Now the applicants will get the real picture why it is taking time to get MR/PPR at least :)

May Allah makes our dream fulfill.

Applicant "MRH" received visa today. Seems like they only update the Global SS. But atleast they are updating.

@Raisa,

Just got reply of my CSE. I was waiting for 6 months without any news. I was crying, praying and worrying without any reason. SGVO replied to my CSE with file number, no UCI provided. They also said that my file was transferred to SGVO on 17th Nov and they sent me AOR on 8th December. But my email was wrong :-X That means my PER was in normal time frame :(

As per your advise, today I have sent another CSE with my file number to update my email (correct) for further communication. Lets hope the update it without requesting for new forms.

Please keep me in your prayers sister. Inn sha ALLAH one day we will meet in Canada :D

SS updated.. :-*
