Hi Nishesh,

Thanks a lot for positive response. I also have the same situation as crewbunk. I signed my application in early June but it was sent to my Lawyer in Canada first and then might have got delivered in Late June or may be even in July start.

My question is which date does CIO treats as application date. Is it the date on which Forms were signed (in my case it was early June) OR the date on which package was delivered at CIO?

Would you suggest us to send us to fill in the updated forms and send it to CIO with cover letter? But I dont have any UCI# or any reference number.

If you have already submitted your application then sit back and wait for CIO to process it. If required, they will ask for updated documents post AOR.

Your submission date is the date on which your application package was received by CIC and NOT the date the forms were signed.

You should be fine in October for that NOC.

Hello nishesh3003,

Need some advice please. Today I sent to CIC two updated forms correcting some info; probably will arrive the day after tomorrow. My original application arrived on August 22.

My question is, should I write CIC about this second package in order to increase the chances of CIC matching the applications? In case you think is convenient, what email should I write to?

Please advice.

Thank you.

If you have sent updated set documents post application submission then its strongly recommended to follow up with an email.

Please check CIC's website under the FSW Segment's 'contact us' section for contact details.

After you have sent an email, you can also try calling CIC over the phone.

Just wait. If u geat the file number, send to them updated form and mention the reason in your email.
If not, they will send it back without charging you. Then, just resubmit. Good luck.

This is NOT a critical issue. Your application will not be rejected due to this. However, CIC may ask you to resubmit an updated version of the form post AOR, so you could do it then.

Else, you could send an updated version of the form, if you so want to, post AOR with a cover letter.

I would recommend not to send an updated form due to this as of now, as your NOC (2173) is relatively hot and may push your application date even behind.

Dear Forum Members,

I am due to file my application in the next couple of weeks, while my ECA report is on its way.
I am applying under the NOC-2241 based on my work in the UK as Electronic Test Technician for 1 year and 7months until Oct/2013. I haven't worked since then after coming back to India, I gave my Ielts and am pursuing a software course meanwhile.
Will my current work profile be asked? Will this be a problem?

Thanks in advance.

If you have and can prove enough work experience to accumulate the points you need then CIC will not care.

You have to mention "Unemployed" for the given duration in the Economic Classes form.

Hey maverick-14
I am a August 4th FSW applicant. I just realised that i had sent the old generic application form (this was changed somewhere on 17th or 18th June), which i had downloaded around mid Jun. However by the time i could send out my package it was signed as on August 4th. Now i am wondering if i should send them latest generic application form again as additional document. :'(

Did you get any response to your email to CIC? Could you please keep me posted on the same??

Thanks in advance, Saps

This is my concern also. I sent my docs on 26th and later realized that they had updated the forms on 21st! I think in 2013, they made some MAJOR changes in form, now it is a minor change (No. of years experience gap reduced). I have sent email to cic regarding this, i hope they reply. Otherwise, i will send the new form separately with a covering letter for explanation.

I do not have birth certificate for myself and my wife and our matriculation marksheet does not carry the name of our parents. After trying my best to get birth certificates made and failing at it, I finally decided to send a cover letter explaining the deficiency in documents, I provided two affidavit by me and my parents and by my wife and her parents along with matriculation certificate.

Has anyone else seen such cases being accepted by CIC?

Thanks Nitesh,

When would I expect my AOR , my application reached there on sept 4.

Hi Friends,

Need your valuable suggestion.

I applied for Work Permit 10 years ago. Do i need to mention it somewhere?

Since Work permit is not TRV or visitor or refugee visa and hence i filled "No" in Background Declaration form ( Schedule A).

Is my understanding correct here ?
