Meanwhile in my sibling case. We get passports back on 27th jan. We get landed at niagra border on 27th evening. Get sin number applied on 28th jan. Catch flight same day to india in the evening. Guess WHAT. My sibling's marriage was fixed in first week of FEB. It was crazy EMERGENCY TIME!!!!!!

Anyway we reach india on 29th jan. And apply for travel document on same day in local canadian embassy. Marriage goes somothee and we get travel document visa issued within week, just 2 days back on friday

Can anyone imagine what kind of situation we were in. Thanks god all goes well in the end

Hello Jhutti ... Can u please tell more about " Travel Document" that u applied when u were at India ... Coz I'm in almost same situation and I will need it for sure in coming future as my dad got an attack and he was hospitalized in emergency. I'm still waiting for my passport to be back from CPC-O. The day I get my passport I am heading to India.

Seniors please suggest if I can notify CPC - O About my situation so that they can send me my passport back earlier ..?

Our PP's were received by CPC-O on Jan 16 , it took a little long time than others in the forum but happy that it is on its way to us finally..

Alahamdulilah. Our label has been activated today at 15.59 today. Our passports were received on 28th January. Funny thing is the estimated delivery date to california is 2-9 business days...what an estimate ;D

Dear Friends,

I want to get some genuine openion from you to move to Canada. As a reason I want to ask some questions, Please done take them personal or sarcastic.

My situation is:
I am on L1B and my Company is applying L1A.
If I get L1A, I can get USA green card in 6-9 months time frame.
But I have already get Canada PR and I know that I can get a job that pays 90 - 110 K in Canada.

1) is this a wise decesion to move canada and ignore USA green card?
2) or Wait for 9 months and move to Canada if I dont get USA green card?

I am curious about CPC-O applicants that, you are in the USA and planing to move to Canada.
What are the primary reasons behind moveing to Canada from USA?


Are there any expat forums available to find the roommates / accommodation in Canada before we move to canada(It lowers my expenses)?

I did like this: Wrote the name of my husband (main applicant), number of the process and his DOB on the envelope. Inside, I provided more information like they ask to be in the correspondence with them, that is:

Family Name
First Name
DOB
UCI
Process #
Country of Origin

I sent the original by mail and a copy by e-mail. As soon as they received they accused it in the GCMS notes

TO day I got a mail from CPC-O stating that:

Subject: Name - APPLICATION # E000XXXXXX

Dear Mr. Name:

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada under FSW category and received at CIO Sydney on September 18, 2014.

Our records indicate that you had also submitted another application previously under the same category - FSW (Application #E000YYYYYY), which was approved. A letter was emailed to you on January 08, 2014 advising you to submit your and your spouse's passports for visa issuance. Accordingly, this application cannot be processed any further. You may either submit a written communication to us within next 30 days to close this application or we would close this file as withdrawn.

Please note: Processing fee paid by you to process this application would not be refunded since this application had passed the Stage I of processing.

Surprisingly, I did not request CPC-O to withdraw my second application. Surprisingly they recognized the second application (E000XXXXXX - received at CIO Sydney on September 18, 2014) and asking me to request to close the application. I just replied CPC-O to close this application.

Today my second application status changed to Withdrawn:

1) We received your application for permanent residence on September 18, 2014.

2) We started processing your application on February 6, 2015.

3) We withdrew your application on February 6, 2015 and your file has been closed.

4) A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

It seems they have closed my second application..

3) We withdrew your application on February 6, 2015 and your file has been closed.

It seems they have closed my second application..

Did they charged $550 ...?? If yes, is that refundable ..?

Just spoke to a CIC agent. She told me that my file is in transit and electronic transfer to Ottawa office began on January 30th. She said sometimes the VO would require a copy of paper application but usually it's done electronically.

Does an electronic transfer take that long or are they referring to the fact that someone has not opened the file as yet? I mean this is a Canada to Canada transfer and I was expecting it to be quicker inland than outland.

You have to wait for 7 to 10 days to start your file gets opened at CPC-O.
File transferred dose not mean that , immediately thay look into your file.

Money is non refundable, since my application is open and initial checks are done to accept the file.

It was there in my post. They have said that, since i have completed Phase 1 process, money will not be refunded.

phase 1 means PER.

How were you able to get in touch with a CIC agent? Do you mind sharing the number. The only number i am aware of is 1-888-242‑2100 and i've not been successful in getting hold of a live person.

My first application was 2014 FSWP 2132. Second application was 2014 FSWP with revised IELTS scores.
That time my company had not promised me that, they will apply L1A for me.
As a reason, I did not want to take risk of filing only one application.
After I filed my second application, unfortunately, company is willing to offer L1A.
By the time my FSWP application process has gone farrrr.....
I want to talk to you in the evening regarding your opinion to move to Canada.
