I neither found any mention of refugees on the article, which is primarily tackling CEC applicants, nor any official statement that the express entry is the cause of the delay, but i find it fine to make a buzz with CIC

CIC won't state what's causing the problem (so no one will point on them for doing a bad job)...they provide solutions (which they did).

If it wasn't true, the writer wouldn't have taken the testimony and use it as a back up :)

They moved resources to Express Entry to process 1,200 applicants in 6 months. You don't think they can do the same to process 25,000 refugee applicants in one month?

It is not a matter of number of printed visas. Ottawa is not working on our application because of Express entry and refugees:

Your applications are not processed because essentially they are complete and waiting for the green light. Some CEC applicants are stuck at eligibility and security screening stage, which is what the article is about.

feel free everyone to sign this petition in order that cpc-ottawa and the new minister hear our voice:

https://www.change.org/p/citizenship-and-immigration-canada-cic-canada-should-finish-processing-pre-jan-2015-applications-before-express-entry-apps
Please sign this petition and ask your friends who are waiting to sign as well. This might be the only way to express our concerns to CIC.

All,

My application was received Sept 2014 and has been RFV since Sept 2015. However we just had our baby here in canada. Do I need to notify CIC. I will prefer not to since the baby is a canadian citizen already.

Please advise.

Shouldn't atleast one of the parents need to be a Canadian citizen of Permanent resident for the baby to be a Canadian citizen by birth?????

I think your case is way past asking you for a new bank statement. The RFV means ( Ready for Visa) and the final deadline will not exceed 31/3/2016 (Which is a deadline for most of us). Currently, CIC just needs to do a final check with all the current documents (As stated above "Sent to Officer Review") and then make the final decision (DM) and later on the PPR, so keep cool and wait for the good news.

There's really no straight forward answer...the RFV should be a good sign.

I haven't seen anyone who got asked to send additional documents or letters after MR from cpc-ottawa. however, i read last week that another visa office has been requested to send proof of funds and another applicant to fill out other forms even after MR.

Thank you very much Kerdek & Alialiali for the feedback

I would appreciate if Diplomatru can give me his opinion.

yes you need. attach with your email the birth certificate and everything should be fine. they will just add your kid to your file. they will not issue him/her a visa or ask for any additional document thought. therefore, it will not affect your processing time.

If i am not wrong Medical results are valid for 6months.
Most of us did medical during june-july 2015 which will expire soon.

The Express Entry candidates are suffering from delays in processing too. I had submitted my app. on 29 Jul more than 4 months now and still didn't get passports request. I know I am still within the 6 months frame but I mean I am delayed compared to candidates processed earlier this year who did not exceed 2.5 to 3 months at most.

u can order them for free if u reside in canada.

I tried to do so but I couldn't because I am not residing in Canada. You must provide a proof that you are residing in Canada or holding a PR or citizenship of Canada

I was checking EE forum: they are receiving PPR regularly, even earlier than 6 month which they expected, and still no news for us! It looks that the petition, articles in the media and election hasn't changed anything and still CPC are not gonna finalize our applications! >:( :'(
