I am an October 2014 applicant but I need help please. I submitted my medical two months ago and got my third line update. Having not heard anything I emailed my via office to query my progress since they hadn't contacted me. They emailed back and requested that I pay the RPRF and submit my passport along with photographs. My questions are:
1. Does this mean my PR was approved
2. Can my application still be refused?
3. How much longer will I wait?

The information you can find under the section " Passport transmission services" - http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/India/
You have to pay Rs 579/- per applicant fees at VFS centre in CASH Only (The centres do not accept card payments), you can find charges information within the same section.

You have get the latest photographs (Mention the photo studio name and complete address and the date when it was taken, at the back side of the photograph). You can not use the photographs used at the time of initial application. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3998E_tempA.pdf

The principal applicant or the authorised representative can go and submit all applicants' passports.

You also have to get the printout of the PPR email and attach the information sheet (in a tabular format; word file) shown below;

Applicant Spouse Dep1 Dep2 Dep3 Dep4 Dep5
Family Name
Given Name
Date of Birth
Passport Number
Date of Expiry

Dear Limitbreak,

Could you please share why additional medical tests were requested? is there any specific caution we need to make before medicals?

Plus after visa issuance date, how much maximum time/months a person have within which he must enter canada?

Aoa fahad007,

Additional medicals tests were requested for my wife because x-ray showed minor spot in lugs and as a standard procedure they asked to go through Sputum test (TB test) but thanks to Allah it was nothing and we were cleared.

And visa validity depends on your medical exam. You get one year validity from the date you appeared for medical exam. In my case I got validity till Mar 2016.
