One of my friend whose application reached CIC on August 7th, NOC 0111 - CC Charged on 16th November 2014

cic started transferring files to other vo's from sept ...aug applicants will get processed at ndvo ...
urs is 29th aug so u have to wait... i am 18th aug got 2nd line updaate on 12th

I have applied under same NOC. Don't worry you will get the update soon. may be in ten days. CIO recd my application on 1st Aug. and I got PER mail dated 26th Nov (Through a snail Mail dated 15th Jan 2015). My second line updated on 13th Feb stating the process started on 9th Feb.

So be Patient.

Hi People, I urgently need your HELP!

When I submitted my application , I was not in good terms with my manager so I gave my colleagues reference who also works as a manager.....however, today he got a call from my company HR asking for verification ( about Y did he acknowledge the reference letter as my manager when he is not) He got afraid and denied his acknowledgement ......now tomorrow they may call me regarding this.... I am scared I may lose the job also curious what if they send negative feedback from my company..... now my question is how do they verify the job details....do they call directly HR or the reference...what could be consequences ....please help....

Dear Aashu,

Thats not good news. But how did the HR come to know about the reference letter? If HR has no proof you have sent such a letter, they cannot take any action against you/your friend. When it comes to CIC, if all these letters are notarized, they usually don't question. If they have questions then they send email to the manager who signed your reference letter and in your case your friend. If that happens, make sure your friend does acknowledge or else CIC will consider it as fake. And as far as your HR calling you, you can very well deny sending a letter.

This is not a legal advice, I have a friend who similarly used some reference and the email in the reference letter was verified by CIC. Hope this helps and you wont get more questions from HR/CIC.
