Sounds reasonable, and provide name of company, location, etc.

No proof required.

Dear all,
I have a situation and i need answers. I have workrked in uae for past 10 years. I have moved four comapnies. The initial comapny where i worked from 2004 -2008 is ready to give me experience letters with job responsibility(which makes me eligible under two NOC's). Rest of the organisations are not supportive and are only willing to give salary certificates. I worked as manager marketing in these organisations. Am i good to go with the initial company's job reference letter and for other companies i can give salary certificates and contract copies.
You won't get points without letters, so if you meet the pass mark and the minimum requirement with your 2004-08 work then you are fine. If you need more points, or just to be safe, try to get personal letters from any of your supervisors at those other companies.

Hi All,
My hubby and I are in the midst of preparing the documents for submission.
Is it necessary now to provide a police report or it can be done later when asked?
Also, is a highschool (secondary) diploma necessary too?

Thanks.
You can submit police certificates later. For principal applicant, secondary diploma is necessary.

I heard something different from other forumites.. Some mentioned, even though the PCC is valid for 1 year, it cannot be older than 3 months by the time CIC or VO receives.. If your VO asks for PCC after Sept 2nd, then the PCC is older than 3 months for VO.
I am in similar situation, the got PCC dated July 7th, 2014... I am in dilemma now, should I get a new PCC when VO asks for it? It takes about a month to get a new PCC. This gonna delay the whole process by atleast a month or 2 months.

Maybe somebody who had previous experience can clarify this issue.

"Note: If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier. Police certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. However, if a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one."

True, the SS reflects this rush in the form of 85 entries for this NOC, while the true reflection for this rush is in the number announced by CIC, which is 313. Keeping the same pace, the cap would have been reached by June 15th or so, but the slowdown that took place afterwards is enough to keep the cap open, only for one more month :)

If 313 worldwide corresponds to 85 in our SS, then 1000 would correspond to 270. I actually think that it may even be less than 270, which means that the cap would be reached earlier than 7/17. Think about it, the rush was caused by people who were very engaged in the process, people who knew in advance that CIC is running a new intake. How would one know this other than from the Internet, and particularly from this forum? You can deduce that the later an application is submitted the more probable the applicant is not aware of our forum. If you agree with this, it means that the percentage is even less than 27% for applications later than May 15th :)
Yes that's very logical....actually I remember another member here on this forum reporting that he had recieved an email from CIC in response to a query he had. ..and apparently they informed him that 2174 had already reached cap. ..that was sometime in June as far as I remember. ..many doubted him actually. .wonder if his very early prediction was true???

Hi all

After a long delay I finally got my application returned from CIC. The letter date is 2 July and it arrived on Saturday. The reason for rejection is that there is insufficient evidence that the job duties required under 2171 were performed as set out in the employer letter.

This is not a huge surprise as my reference letter from my employer was provided last year for 2147. As that noc code is not open I applied under 2171. My job title is Account Manager which is definitely 2171 however I wasn't able to get a revised letter. The problem I had was my employer does not give detailed reference letters and I lied and said I needed a job duties letter for an MSC application. That somehow worked and I listed all my jobs and duties at that employer (since 2001) including Service Delivery Manager, Service Delivery Engineer, Network Engineer, Sales Engineer and now Account Manager.

As I've said, the vast majority of my experience is 2147 but I currently work under 2171. I also have experience of 2281 but I moved from Service Delivery in September 2004 so I believe that experience is too old??

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to move forward? I read something on here previously about self attested duties- is that just for self employed people? Any suggestions gratefully received.
If your company won't give you a new letter, get a letter from one of your supervisors or a colleague who knows your duties that will better match with 2171, assuming of course that you really work under 2171 and the letter is honest. You can still use your old letter to get further points for past experience under a difference NOC.

Self-attested duties are NOT ACCEPTABLE and no points will be awarded.

Your window is 10 years prior to the date of your application, so say you re-apply September 1, you can go back to September 1, 2004.

Good luck.

If 25 NOCs fill up with 1000 applications each, then CIC will STOP right over there (because total cap reached), and not bother about other NOCs.

In effect, CIC will stop when TOTAL cap reaches 25,000. It could be 25 NOCs reaching 1000, or 50 reaching 500, or any other combination.

Are you a physician by any chance? Your name sounds like a medication :D

I can even conjure up an image for a TV ad for inositol 78 in my mind:

"Are you tired? Feel bloated? Have cramps and feel constipated? DON'T WORRY! Take inositol 78 three times a day, and, not only will you not have any of the above, you'll also feel loved by your boyfriend."

Hi,

I have a question. Mu ocupation is editor-in-chief. NOC number is 0512. This occupation is under skill type A in 0 cstructure. In NOC rules they mention in section "Classified elsewhere" occupation can be classified as Senior managers - trade, broadcasting and other services, n.e.c. (0015)

The question is: Should I mark my occupation as 0512 or 0015 NOC number? Am I eligibile if I write NOC 0512?
You are eligible if you have at least one year of continuous full-time experience in one of the eligible NOCs, the list of which you can find here (be sure to expand the list to show all 50): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp. 0512 is not eligible. 0015 is eligible. See if you can reasonably fit your job duties letter into one of the eligible NOCs while remaining honest.

In addition to the minimum eligibility requirement, you can get points toward the pass mark for experience in any NOC that is at skill type 0 or skill level A or B (that includes 0512).

To match NOCs with your jobs, look at the lead statement (top paragraph) and description of job duties. Your title and the other requirements like which degree, etc are irrelevant.

Good luck.

Dear Seniors,

I have collated all required documents regarding application for Canada.I will be filing my application by end of this month.

Can you provide format for Settlement funds declaration ?

Is there any evaluation document required for mentioning house as an asset ?

Thanks in advance..
You don't need a declaration, just provide a statement copy or bank certificate.

No documentation of house value required now, but be prepared to obtain it if the local VO requests it (they won't). Also remember your house doesn't count as settlement funds.
