Your consultant is wrong. If you meet the requirement for your primary NOC through your job experience there is no requirement that your degree match. Exceptions are for certain specialty occupations like medicine, but that doesn't apply to you. You are free to apply.

Consultants are often wrong and may not have your best interest at heart. Send your application without worry and if you have questions about completing it, ask us.

Good luck!

Is it fine if some of my documents are notarized and some are not?
None of the documents require notarization , unless you are providing a document which is not in English or French language.

No, we don't have substantial proof - in fact we never sought. If you think other way, there is not a single incidence of rejection.

Just note that, according to OP6c, "Note: The “Employment Requirements” listed in the NOC description for each occupation are not applicable.'

Hi future_canadian,

Although this point has been well established during so many discussions on this forum, but do we have sufficient instances of successful applications to prove this. Just curious because I have always found this to be an unreasonable (although lucky) criterion as far as FSW program is concerned.

Try to get letter from GPO, which shows that its a liquid and unencumbered investment and provide it along with copy of ur pass book.

I want to track the CIC charge but I'm using lawyers on the application process.
They say they use money order....how does it work? They are not notified as the people using CC and DC right?

Hi Guys,

I am a newbie. Need help on following:

Got recently married :D

This is not what I need help on. I need help on:

My passport doesn't have my wife's name. It says I am single.
My wife's passport doesn't have my name. It says she is single.
I have marriage certificate though. It says both of us are married - to each other!

If I apply for Canadian PR and wish to include my wife as my dependent applicant, do I need to include my wife in my passport and she has to include me in her passport?

Please advise.

Thanks,
CMJ -CanadaMeriJaan
Congratulations on your marriage.

You don't need to have each other in your passport. In western countries people do not have spouse's names in their passports. Passports are travel documents only and are not proof of anything, so there's no reason CIC needs to see that information in your passport. Your marriage certificate is just fine.

I visited UAE in the year 2010 & 2011 as a visitor

later

In 2012 I went to UAE on work visa and UAE became country of residence

I want to know that, whether I should mention the visits in 2010 & 2011, as at that time UAE was not by country of residence

You have to mention all travels. Definitely mention this.
