I have my documents in spanish and translated by a certified translator who stated that those documents are originals and so... Is this enough?
I only have notarized the birth and mariage certificates of my wife and myself...

Seniors please advise,

I am working with on organization since May 2005 and recieve two promotions. My expriance fall in two different NOCs.

May 2005 to May 2011 in NOC 1111
May 2011 to Present in NOC 0013

I mentioned Experiance of 6 years in one occupation and 3 years in my present occupation as per my immigration application. My Employer however gave me the the reference letter, which covers 80% of NOC 0013 and 20 % of NOC 1111. I need advise what could be the possible outcome in this situation i mean how many points i may obtain in experiance category.

It's hard to say exactly. Did your employer's letter specify that you were promoted in May 2011? Did it give your duties before and your duties after promotion? This would be the way you could be most sure about getting credit for all of those years. If it is not clear to CIC what your NOC was for the first 6 years, it's possible you won't get credit for that time.

The general rule with CIC is make everything very explicit and lead them where you want them to go.

Did you ask If the Demand Draft Issued by Indian Bank have valid for ONLY 3 Months ? Please clarify plikhi .

Bcoz My DD was issued on 5/5/2014. I had crossed more than 3 months .( 97 days) and My application reached 13 May. So How CIC will process my application.

I have bad news for all. Just now I confirmed with Forex department from last year all Demand Draft validity has been reduced to 3 months only. Now issue is with this speed we all are going to face issue if we have paid fee through DD.

I have confirmed by calling JPMorgan chase Bank in Canada also. This bank usually have all bank Demand draft issued in international currency in India.

Hi everyone,

I've got another question: I got notarized copies of the original documents that had to be translated from the local notary office and I noticed that the signature on the documents isn't by the notary public himself but by his assistant which is perfectly legal as he's authorized to notarize documents as well. It still has the stamp and everything from the notary office but the title says "notary assistant". I now fear that this won't be accepted by CIC as it says "notary public" on the "Who can certify copies?" list. Does anyone know if it has to be the signature of the notary himself or if it's okay if it's basically in the name of the notary office?

You have one year from the date of your medical exam, and this cannot be extended.

Note that if your passport has less than one year of validity from the date of your medical exam, I believe the period is reduced to prior to the expiry of your passport. Not completely sure, but something to consider and ask about if it applies to you.

To be eligible for FSW nomination, one must have at least one years experience in a nominated occupation. According to your post, you have more than that in two eligible occupations - 1111 and 0013. So that's not a problem. CIC checks whether you're eligible for nomination under one of the nominated occupations by cross-checking whether your experience, as stated by your employment reference letters, STRONGLY fits the duties performed description of the nominated occupation. I understand that you want to claim points for the occupation that you've worked the most number of years (1111). But, if the reference letter only matches 20 percent of the duties performed by a typical NOC 1111, you RISK REJECTION. On the other hand, if you nominate NOC 0013, you have a much higher chances of success as your experiences more strongly match that occupation.
I think the less riskier course of action for you is to nominate NOC 0013. BTW, according to the FSW spreadsheet there are 80 applicants in NOC 1111; in contrast, 0013 has only 20 entries.
Seems like you have better odds with 0013 in that aspect as well.

I think the question was whether he can get points toward the pass mark for his pre-promotion experience, not whether he could apply under 1111. I agree with you, no way he can apply under 1111 only matching 20%, he must get a new letter or apply under 0013.
