Hi guys,

I am waiting for per, which I am expecting any time next week or in 2 weeks. I am being optimistic and thinking for next year steps ahead. I understand that CIC gives 1 year time for landing in Canada after the PR stamp. here is my question: Does the PR status begins from the landing date or from the PR stamp in passport? The reason I ask is, the regulation for maintain PR status is that applicant have to reside in Canada for 3 years out of 5 years.. and how does the time frame is calculated?
If anyone knows this information or the resources where I can find info, please post.

Hi All,
I have a query regarding PCC.
I am 12th May applicant and am yet to receive my PER. I did not send the PCC with the original application as I did not have it at that time. However, now I have the required documents. Should I send it to CIC now, or should I wait for the local VO to ask for those document?

Can't we compare somehow with last year? Is there a spreadsheet for 2013 applicants?

They will definitely be faster, I suspect after the 14th itself !!

Guys, my present employer is very stubborn to mention the roles and responsibilities on the reference letter. I was just given a service certificate that I am working in their company from so n so date.

If this reference letter is not considered, my total experience would come to 3 years and 11 months.

Kindly let me know how many points will I get if I consider only 3 years 11 months ?

You can try to get a personal reference letter from a supervisor or colleague who knew your duties so you can prove your job duties to CIC, that will supplement the service certificate from that employer and should get you credit for that time.

I am new to this group and came to know about this group when I was googling about my application status.

Hope I will also get help or clarifications here.

I applied for FSW CANADA PR 2014 this year and my application reached by May 16 2014.

Could you please let me know anyone got response from CIC whose application reached in the same period.
I checked my DD status as well. It is not encashed yet.

Just checked on 2013 forum... average of 70-90 days for mid May to August applicants.
It goes down after that. Earlier may apps also were around 50-75 days

Yesterday 1 person reported ECAS status change (added another line "" we have started processing ....." ) for NDVO ...
and few visa offices are even close to finalise 2014 candidates for visa grant.Why NDVO is working so slow...

After the info that @delhi2173 got his status changed, i started finalizing that which car i will buy after landing in Canada......... hahaha My application is received before him but status is still same......

Because number of applicants will go down significantly.

Note that, last year, there was strike by PAFSO which triggered CIO employees withdraw from work whatsoever. So, it could not be compare pick time of 2013 vs pick time of 2014.

yes bro i noticed it awhile ago,it should be 884 out of 25k instead 555.

Weird!! I still see 555 in http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp and in http://www.canadavisa.com/total-number-of-federal-skilled-worker-applications-received-by-cic.html
