Not being able to mention full-time doesn't sound like a big mistake to me at least.

As far as job duties are concerned, I am not from the same NOC code, so can't really comment. But a quick look tells that it is a pretty comprehensive list, and not a generic statement of work.

Do people using this NOC code have to satisfy requirement of being a Computer programmers and interactive media developers both ?

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=2174

I am sure someone from same NOC code will soon reply.

I think the contrary. Mentioning that the job was full-time and/or giving the exact number of hours worked per week is essential. If the reference letter has at least one of those mentioned, it's good otherwise a rejected is possible (given that other supporting materials like job contract also don't mention that).

Hello Friends,
I was a 9th may applicant in NOC 2174 and my file has been refused by CIC and they have mentioned the blow reason/reasons for that, which were highlighted in bold in the returned application:
As you application does not meet the requirement of Regulation(10) of IRPA, it is incomplete. It is being returned to you for this reason
Important information: Changes to eligibility in the FSW program
Note: Work Experience

"at least one year of fulltime work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work"
"Your letter of employment must clearly give evidence showing that you have performed the actions described in the lead statement and that you have performed a substantial number of main duties, including all the essential duties"

Can anybody explain me if reason for refusal is that: i had not mentioned that i am working full time? or even my performed duties are not correct?
Please help me on this regard so that i can resend my application with the necessary changes. feeling sad currently :(
if anybody wishes i can post my main duties as well!

Although I am not 2174, your duties does not seem like a problem to me. It is detailed and seems like covers NOC 2174 quite well. I think the main problem might be the absence of "full time" in your reference letter. Did the letter indicate how many hours a week you worked? If not, then the reference letter lack the required information and as such would be a big problem.
GTiwana, Did you supplement your reference letter with other documentation like pay slips etc?

Guys last moment clearance to avoid confusion

Presently working in a PSU as duputy engineer PS 3 level
Past 1 year duty matches Noc 2141, before that 3 years is Noc 2132
Now question is

IMM0008 generic- current occupation shall I mention deputy engineer or mechanical engineer, intended I have filled mechanical.
In personal history mentioned deputy engineer with company name
In IMM 0008 schedule 3 mentioned in ques 12b present duty as deputy engineer with noc2141 and before that all are noc2132.

Please give your valuable advice.

What else did you send supporting your employment? Contract, job offer, payslip? Any place else where the number of hours worked is mentioned?

No, they returned the whole file including my Demand draft. But once its charged you can be 95% sure about your file to be processed positively.

Will there be any advantage if i make notary of all photocopy documents

or any disadvantage if i dont make it

plz suggest

thanks

No advantage. It is quite unnecessary. But no disadvantage either (other than hassle for you). No need to provide something they haven't asked for.

They were assessing May 9th applicants very recently so ur application was returned real quick. ..do u live in N. America?

I also agree that the reason of rejection is not mentioning number of working hours or whether it was part or full time.

Thank you so much, Dhanu !

I really appreciate it.. :) :) 8)
