Hi, I have just joined and had a query on IETLS validity - is it based on when the application is recieved at CIO or when the application is opened for working - e.g. if the IELTS expires on July 30th and the application is recieved on July 28th, will it still be considered valid.

My Paternal uncle lives in CA since 1998 at Ontario ( Toronto ) as Citizen . Can I select other province as intend to live in CA instead of ON . So far I know other province there are better scope for job .

I was a 9th may applicant in NOC 2174 and my file has been refused by CIC and they have mentioned the blow reason/reasons for that, which were highlighted in bold in the returned application:

As you application does not meet the requirement of Regulation(10) of IRPA, it is incomplete. It is being returned to you for this reason

Important information: Changes to eligibility in the FSW program

Note: Work Experience

"at least one year of fulltime work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work"
"Your letter of employment must clearly give evidence showing that you have performed the actions described in the lead statement and that you have performed a substantial number of main duties, including all the essential duties"

Can anybody explain me if reason for refusal is that: i had not mentioned that i am working full time? or even my performed duties are not correct?
Please help me on this regard so that i can resend my application with the necessary changes. feeling sad currently

First find what exactly they did not like in your application. CIO use generic pre-printed text, which means that the part in bold might not be relative to your case. Look for the places where they used pen/marker to highlight the text. CIO should have also included a new checklist with the returned application - they mark items in that checklist that are "missing".

My point is that there are a lot of things that may lead to failing R10 of IRPA, and the ref letters is not necessarily the one that caused the refusal in your case. Look at the "explanation" that they sent you. If there is no highlighted text (like with yellow marker or pen), look at your reference letter(s). You must have both (1) the lead statement, and (2) the substantial number of duties.

Selection of province really does'nt matter, you can choose anything you want.

I think province in FSWP skilled worker, matter nothing other then documentation purposes.

Any province other than Quebec for FSW is OK regardless of where your uncle lives.

Hi Guys,

Someone pls guide me for WES evaluation. Today, I received my transcripts and marksheets attested from university in a sealed envelope.

Now, how should i proceed? Should I send only this envelope to WES or I have to attach the copy of all my degree certificates/marksheets again along with it...

You can send sealed envelope to WES that contains Transcript and Mark Sheets.

Even i have received the attested Transcripts and MarkSheets in sealed envelope, i did send photocopies of all final or provisional degree certificates,marksheets along with the sealed envelope to avoid any delay.

You can mention any province for now other than Quebec. You may later on decide as to where you want to settle depending on jobs, weather (moderate to extreme cold winters) etc.

Proof of language proficiency

When you submit your application to the CIO, you must include original results of one of the following language tests from a testing agency designated by CIC.

Your language test results must not be more than two years old at the time that we receive your application at the CIO.
