LOL. I think it is not a big issue at all. After your file moves into VO, just communicate them. Relax till then.

Thanks a lot. I feel relief. By when can i expect my application to reach VO? I am from New Delhi, India.

Thanks a ton century... All doubts sorted ...just one left. What do I do regarding assets ? Coz if I show just liabilities n settlement funds...then my liabilities are way more. Only if I show the property value...liabilities get covered.

Assets cannot be blank.
Assets= Settlement fund + property+cars+ jewelry+ others

Show your liabilities. Against your liabilities, assets also being created. So put that in assets.

I suggest to provide your details of liabilities and monthly payment. Also ensure to show that your income is good enough to pay monthly liabilities and monthly family expenses.

CIC recommends 6 months.

What is the purpose of this speradsheet?

FSWP 2014 Spreadsheet: h_ttp://tinyurl.com/FSW14-Spreadsheet

I clicked it out of curiosity, but couldn't understand the purpose. Please suggest!

It's not stated....either 3 or 6 months doesn't matter.
Just provide it.

At most within 3 months - i think so. After completion checking, your CC/DD will be charged and then your file will be moved into New Delhi. You will receive e-mail from CIC when they sent to VO.

hello

I am going to fill up the forms. but some doubts arise.

there are tables for record. i need only one row. it is said that there should not be any blank space in the form. so should i put N/A in the 2nd row only? or should i write N/A in all the cells in all the rows?

and in some forms i need to add additional pages as the space provided in the form is not enough. i wrote 'Enclosed in additional page' in the 1st row. in the form should i write 'N/A' in the other rows or "enclosed in additional page' ?!

Schedule A – Background/Declaration

Is it okay if I fill some fields on "Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669]" form with FOX IT reader. As here large names and addresses can be typed in one box, and handwriting can be avoided.

Nobody knows how the officers work....as for me,I gave my personal experience.
For me,there is no harm in including the old passport and subsequently write a cover letter to explain it.
My application wasn't delayed....rather,the interval between the date my application was received and my PERS mail receipt date was 20days.
It worked for me.

How to write a cover letter. Is it like application..
So for the explanation of any issue I have to write separate cover letter you mean :/

Those someones were wrong. Certification/notarization are only required if the document is translated.

If you do have translated documents, certify them exactly according to the requirements published in CIC's guide. Pay close attention to timeliness requirements. You can find the requirements in the guide by searching under "translation of documents" here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

Quoting from the guide:

Look at the part I bolded. To me, you would need an affidavit from the person at the Indian consulate in Japan who translated your BC. If you don't have this, I think you need another translation so the translator can provide the affidavit. Alternatively, you could provide the translation as is and fulfill all the other requirements, along with a written explanation of why the affidavit is not available, but to me that is riskier as it departs from the stated requirements.

The requirements for certifying true copies are right below the requirements for translation.

Good luck!

Thank you so much. I shall try and get things done as mentioned. But really without this post of yours I could have had my application returned. Grateful to you!

Cover letter is not an application but does similar thing an ideal cover letter will do to your resume/cv when applying for a job.
Cover letter in this sense is meant to throw more light on some things you could not include with your package(not the mandatory things like IELTS or ECA) or things that may look ambiguous in your application package.
Ordinarily, the officers should decipher what you are trying to explain....what if their mood doesn't permit them?
You must also know that cover letter doesn't guarantee success when other mandatory things are left out.
Cover letter add to the beauty of a well package application just like it does to your resume.
For me,i have found it useful in my application.
I used it to explain why my PCC wasn't included and the IELTS passport issue.
