No I don't completely agree...they first do a completeness check on all documents and forms before charging anything. ...that's the general consensus on how the CIO operate...after the charge the do an eligibility review which probably involves checking to see if the applicant does have the minimum required number of points (amongst other things)

I'm sure they don't want to be issuing refunds to anyone unless absolutely necessary...hence the notion that a CC charge or DD encashment probably means reviewing a PER eventually

Thanks

Yes that's one way of doing it...But i felt if we additionally set the "Do not send to Spam" we can be very assured....

As the whole process takes so many months & say we miss out checking it & spam gets deleted after 30 days right....just to negate all these situations ;)

Use gmail's option to the most ;D

POF need not be in Canada Dollars. It's ok if the Bank Statement/ Balance Certificate is in local currency.
And for and estimate of equivalent amount in local currency, you may use any forex converter. I personally prefer xe.com
I hope you are not planning to show proofs for the exact required amount.. :)

Ya I am not planning for exact amount. But what buffer amount we should plan.. Dollar rates are increasing like anything. May be what we are considering now at the time of application can be too little when our application is reviewed... thats what I was wondering....Can you specify some random value we can consider enough for 2 persons.

True of course there will be cases of refunds indicating rejections after initial CC charges. ..what we have observed so far in the FSW2014 program is that none of the applicants who have had fees encashment recieved any rejections. ..if course it's still early days to judge plus the possibility of people here getting rejections despite of CC charge and not reporting...but in general it still stands that once CC is charged....more likely than not you are through

Yes migratecanada2012 i know i need to wait for some time to the quantum of 12-14 weeks...we might never know when we ll get a reply..

I was checking few posts by the members who mentioned they checked their mail accidentally in spam folder & found the PER...

That is why i thought of coming up with this question....coz we never know...

Dears,

I have applied as FSW (application reached 7th MAY 2014, still waiting for CIC response) I have a few questions on points calculations:

1. EXPERIENCE: my experience is more than 10 years , but expereince letter i sent were having only my designation, work duration and salary. Job description is not included. Will it effect?

2. IELTS: overall my IELTS score is 7.5 in all 4 categories, i calculated 6+6+6+5=23 as language points , is it corrent way ?

3. My age now is 35 and I will turn to 36 in coming November , what age score I will get , can I get max. points 12 ?, technically speaking I am in 36th year of age but crossed 35 years (born 1978 NOV ) .. confusing right?

4. My degree is bachelors in engineering (4 years) what score I will get 23 or 22 ?

please reply as i am nervous, tense and stressed.

Warm regards,

Dear All,

Firewall is blocking me to view/edit the spreadsheets (yes, I'm at workplace ;) )
Someone kindly check the total number of applicants and number of PER'ed / CC charged applications for NOC 2173, so far.

13 CC and 6 PERs

1. Job Roles and responsibilities in the format specified by CIC is a must.
2. Yes you are correct, if you scored less 8.0 in listening.
3. That's tricky, i wont wanna answer that but technically you wont get maximum points.
4. The maximum points for Bachelor's is 22, provide you have valid ECA report from WES.

My guess would be a low percentage although we're all basically stabbing in the dark here and any predictions here would never be an exact science...

Which actually brings up the question? Do CIC publish any data regarding these things even for past FSW years? They update the CAP status for this year of course plus the processing times for different VOs. ..but is there any official data regarding approval vs rejection rates. ..reasons of rejections as percentages. ..stages at which apps are rejected by numbers. ..etc

Any sort of thing?
