My wife is the Principal Applicant, NOC 4214, App date: 12-12-2014. She does not have a linkedin profile. She only has a facebook account and the 'worked with' section is not updated. Does it matter as far as the background check at cic is concerned? please share your views - thanks.

No there isn't any problem in that at all. Of course nobody is hundred percent sure that what mechanism / sources they use in order to conduct background check. Therefore as far as you are true there is no problem at all because the background check will result in positive evaluation.

Thanks George. Just an enquiry, isnt it first come first served. I saw people who applied on 13 november (i applied on 6th november) and got their CC charged on 11 january. It is 14 january and no news yet .

CIC is asking me matriculation Certificate. Does it mean SSC certificate? They didn't mention that copy or original so what thing I need to submit?

Guys,
A chinese applicant ( translator) got a call from the canadian embassy in beijing asking about him, they talked to the HR , and asked ( nicely ) about his duty and how long he was working for that company etc.
Besides, they talked to the applicant himself, he said that they asked him to talk in english,
He believes that they did so in order to make sure that he is really a translator.
Hope this may help someone here.

For dubai PCC, if ur friend is still staying in Dubai, he can go personally to Dubai police gen. HQ with PP copies and a valid emirates ID card and can collect PCC with in 3 working days. But if ur frnd is not staying in uae currently then anyone of his friends or relatives can go there to apply PCC for him, the list of docuemnts required in this regards is available on dubai police website.

Yes. You are right but it is based upon NOC. Means each NOC has different que and in that que you will be treated on first come first served basis.
But still in general overall algorithim that CIO uses is a top top secret. For example how CIO switches in ques of different NOCs.? What criteris is adopted is not known? Maybe they do it in random way.

Do you remember that how many applications were passted through completeness check and how many have been issued PER as per last update of CIC on 16th December. 2014, then i can provide you some guess.
