Overstaying s definitely illegal and only Refugees will get PR if they apply...

NOVA u mean that he should apply for a work permit? Or should he apply as a refugee? I guess he would need to loose his passport? ???

I didnt mean he should apply as a refugee.. I meant refugees could get PR while overstaying in a particular country..

How could one ,who's been overstaying for last 2 years, apply for FSW 2013??...

Hi Raghav563,

No it is not taking 2-3 months to receive MR. Plz chk robs details. He got it in 48 days. So I think anywhere after 1.5 months we can count on. This is as per my calculation.

I don't think its going to be too late for MR's now....for example may applicanats got their AOR after almost 45 days of getting per .....but me being july applicant I got my AOR in just 12 days after PER....So I am guessing in next 2 months majority of people should be getting their MR

Well, NOVA21 is right, he can't apply under any immigration program being illegaly staying in Canada. If he chooses other option to leave Canada and apply under PNP or anything else, I am afraid he might get couple of years ban to apply for any kind of visa/immigration of Canada. He really needs to discuss his case with a lawyer in Canada. Overstaying illegal in any country is not recommended in any case.

One question!

In the spreadsheet you shared a while ago, it mentioned Selection Decision as 1702 and 9177 is listed under Final Decision. What is your interpretation of these numbers?

In CIC Manual is clearly stated that "Selection Decision" is made after a background check, so comes along with MR. This is this stage. "FInal decision" is any decision which has been made after background check, so its means just before MR or after security check, so its means after MR. So people with selection decision should already be granted with MR and are awaiting for security and criminal check...or stuck in this checking...

some people in this forum in the past told they tried several times n got through..so try continuously...
