Guys, I have made a mistake in Generic application form at Q.4 Immigration office. I have mistakenly put my country of residence Abudhabi VO instead of London VO. As per your experience, will the application be returned or not?
Thanks for your assist in advance.

Don't worry, here are two members put the same VO, and they got PER's....
Which means, no rejection for such reason.

Are you aware if we are tracking of the FBI PCC , I have sent request 20th Sept , but my CC is not charged yet. Is there any way we can make an enquiry ?

Thanks ,

Thanks ,

I am in same boat. My request reached them on 27th Sept. No credit card charged yet. I called FBI last Friday and they mentioned they can not state anything within 5 weeks. So I will call by the end of this week to see if I can find any update. Some people in the forum mentioned that they got their CC charged after 6 weeks. So I hope by this week your should be charged and mine by next week. Let's see.

In case you want to call FBI here is the number: 304-625-5590

Does anyone know if there any harm in requesting CAIPS/GCMS notes? I requested an advise from my lawyer but they didn't recommend anything and advised me just to wait!

By the Grace of ALMIGHTY, i have received the PER. Admin Please update:

DD encashed: 29-Oct-2013
PER received: 04-Nov-2013

I wondered about that. Presumably it goes on record that such a request was made, and presumably it takes them time to process such a request. If those assumptions are true then it isn't a great leap to assume they don't appreciate it much.

No, PER is not final.
Visa officer will review your eligibility based on documents that you provided once again. And he has a right to reject your application.
So, it is a good idea to order GCSM notes after you get your PER in order to find out and address any issues of his concern before final decision.
I am just wondering how can VO reject application that has been approved by the CIO ?! Are the judgement/ selection criteria different?

It has nothing to do with VO and there is no involvement of VO in issuing GCMS notes. This is a separate department sitting in Canada. And as processing of this request is not done by VO so no burden on them. The CIO office process these requests and basically each step in ur application is recoded in their online server/database which they fetch and send to u. I dont think it has any kind of effect on your application. If it is an extra work load for them or they face manpower issues they would have definitely mentioned it somewhere to discourage u or so many agencies processing these requests on ur behalf would have mentioned some of its side-effects

GCMS notes are not generated by Visa Officers. It's a separate department within Canada that collects the information and forwards us. However, they do record on the system that we have requested GCMS & Visa Officer can see it. It does not have any +ve or any -ve effect on the outcome of the application. It's our right (under act of freedom of information) & we followed steps in obtaining OUR information.
