@Pwetty - No way, pls! It will be returned unprocessed. Waste of money and time.

I would recommend saving a few more pennies, reading a few more blogs about Canadian culture and surveying the job market for your NOC plus watching out on alternatives to Canada. This should prep you enough by the time you are ready to apply next time the program re-opens.

Dear Tania,

I am not Indian as well, but what I have learned from my Indian colleagues and friends over years, is that they build up very strong societies where ever they find each other, they share their knowledge and experience to become socially and economically stronger and more successful than many other nations.

Just take a look at "App. by VO" tab in the tracking sheet, and you find out that nearly 300 applicants out of 700 are from India (as their VO is New Delhi). These people have shared their experience and details of their application from day one. If you see many posts from Indian friends, is only due their vast contribution in helping others.

I applaud for these great people who are very good representatives for their truly civilized country...

I am not Indian either, and I second your opinion. People from India are smart, helpful hardworkers and shine where they go.
Moreover, this forum is by far one of the most helpful facets in our immigration process.

Thank you all buddies :)

Re: Medical request and RPRF

Chinook said:
Hi everyone,

For those who are awaiting MR, this is what you can expect.

I received two E mails on 6th Sep one for MR and and the other for Settlement of Funds and payment of RPRF from CPPO (Ottawa) which is my visa office.

The first E mail is on Medical request. It had an enclosed pdf file containing two pages. The first page as quoted below explained how and where I should get my Medical done which has to be completed within 60 days. The second page is the actual Medical Report (Form IMM 1017E protected) with my name and other particulars including bar code of IMIE number printed to be taken to the Doctors office.

The contents of the first page is:

QUOTE:

Medical Examination Instructions

IMM 1017 E (12-2012) GCMS
These medical instructions are being issued since your application has been processed to the stage
where medical examination results are now required. Please read these instructions carefully.

IMPORTANT: You are required to undergo the medical examinations within 60 days of the date of this
letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.
The medical examination must be performed by a doctor from the CIC list of Panel Physicians.
You cannot choose your family doctor if his or her name is not on this list. See the list of Panel Physicians to
find a doctor in your area at CIC web site xxxxxxxx
Once you identify a panel physician in your area, book an appointment for your medical examination.
When you schedule your appointment, please ensure that arrangements are made for your chest x-ray
and laboratory tests as well. Once your medical has been completed the doctor will forward the medical
results to CIC.

Any costs related to the medical examination are your responsibility and are payable at the time of the
examination. Should your application be refused following the completion of your medical examination
these costs will not be refunded.

Please bring the following to your appointment:
- The attached Medical Report form (IMM1017E)
- Proper identification (proof of identity must include at least one government-issued document
with photograph and signature, such as a passport or national identity card)
- Eye glasses or contact lenses, if worn
- Any medical reports or test results that you may have as a result of previous or existing
medical conditions
- Four recent photographs (photos are not required if the panel physician is listed as “eMedical
enabled” on the CIC website listed above)

Note: It is important that you inform the panel physician of any previous or existing medical conditions.
Failure to do so will delay the processing of your medical examination.

UNQUOTE

The second E mail is on the Funds and RPRF

QUOTE

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· Updated evidence of settlement funds (showing 6 months deposits/ withdrawals history) for yourself

· Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) for yourself.

You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued. The RPRF will be refunded if the application is refused, if you withdraw your application or if you choose not to use your visa. Please follow these steps:

· Go to CIC website: XXXXXXX

· Read the instructions on each page, and click “Continue” to proceed

· Select the “Immigration” link, followed by “Right of Permanent Residence Fee”

· You must pay this fee once for yourself as principal applicant and your spouse

· Enter the number of fee payments (1 or 2) in the box beside the fee of $490

· Click “Submit”

· Proceed to pay your fees by selecting “Pay” and then follow the instructions to pay with a credit card

Once the payment process is complete, the web site will display your official receipt in PDF format. You must send the receipt to CPP-O.

I guess other Visa offices may follow differently for verification of funds.

Append below is the ECAS staus of my case

1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 8, 2013.

2. We started processing your application on September 6, 2013.

The first message I happen to see after receiving PER. (I had not logged in to see ECAS anytime before)
The second message appeared a couple of days after receiving MR.

Someone had raised a query if my employment was verified by my VO which is CPPO.
I do not know how they work and process the applications. I do not want to post any views through my guess to this forum.
I shall definitely share my info as when available from CIC.
Chinook...real thanks for your informative posts...+1ed and hope i can +1sss more :D..this is really enriching our info about what to expect
i recollected both of them again here as I see they are very important to the majority of forum members at this phase...so those who may have missed reading the past pages can now see them again

again many thanks :)

anybody else with MR please share similar details specially RPRF requests (if any) and ECAS details..thanks

Hi guys! I just need your advice so badly. I got my IELTS results this week:
OVERALL 6.5
Listening 6.5
Reading 5.5
Writing 6.5
Speaking 6.5

Basing on my ielts scores, am I eligible to apply for the federal skilled workers program? If I am, how many points will i be getting for language skills? Or do I need to retake the ielts exam???

I would greatly appreciate your response. Thank you.

Hello everyone.
I am an Occupational therapist from Delhi, India. Interested in immigrating to Canada. What i understood from reading the content in this forum is that i don't need an agent but as u are aware that there can be file specific issues, so i wanted to ask whether there is anyone else who is also applying from Delhi under FSWP so that we can probably meet up and discuss how to proceed further !!!
Thanks and regards.

As per Instructions guide "Police certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. However, if a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one."
