What is your question...

Guys, just a quick update, I received an email yesterday from Cairo visa office saying:

"your Québec skilled worker file that was being processed in Ottawa was recently received in Cairo, we will process each file according to the date of reception, so please refrain from sending any further mails as it may cause delay to processing your file"

Anyway, I replied to them that my file is a federal skilled worker not Québec.
Anyone else got any news?

I got my UCI last week and I swear only female agent can help as I called up many times to know my UCI and every time unfortunately male agent was on other hand who gave same response every time that they don't have any information of my file and one day fortunately I got female agent on other hand who gave me UCI.
And I did't ask for status very same day I got my UCI.
I checked it online first which was not available so mailed CIC to know status but as they take 20 working days to reply and more over my CC is not charged yet so called CIO to know status of my file and unfortunately male agent was on opposite end of my call and got same reply that they don't have access to my application

What is your question...

I have sent my application on 22nd july and they have received it on 30 july.

I have sent the generic application form 042013 but I can see on CIC website that generic application form 072013 was updated in July.

I am not sure weather I have to send this again.

I am sure they did not updated this in July.

So my question is do I have to send form again or I am on safe side.

Totally Agreed!!!Many many examples of expedited processing. A guy and his family in Abu Dhabi, UAE got it in 7 months!

So it depends on VO. How accurate is processing time posted on the CIC site.

This is a very good news Marko, and good that you sent for them for correction.
Would you please update your details on the left side below your good name so that we can know more about your good self.
Ex. NOC .... Main dates... ets.

Dear forum experts

Can anyone advise us about the new, updated Generic Form In July.
How did this happen? When I was sending the application I think it was May 2013 and now I see July 2013. I'm a 17 July applicant and freaked out right now since CIC is getting closer to July applicants.

Thanks dear
You are a cooperative person and deserve all the best.
I hope that the rest of our friends here will response.

Application for Permanent Residence Outside Canada-- Canaddian who marry to foreing citizen and file will be placed by foreign citizen with all proof of marriage
Application for Permanent Residence in Canada-Applying for PR except FSW,or canadian who get marry to person living in canada and having more than one year visa for canada
Application for Permanent Residence - Federal skilled Worker submitted to Sydney, Nova Scotia - ALL FSW 2013 will fall in this , doesnt matter applicant applying from outside , inside canada, but for FSW2013 file must go to nova scotia,

I am talking about the points mentioned in each of these. For example, what is the difference between outside Canada and submitted to FSW Nova Scotia? Which one applies to us? --We are in third option.

In FSW Submitted to Nova Scotia, for example, the explanation for "In Process" leads us to believe that file is already at VO and eligibility by VO is also done? Can that be true?

NO, It means files is in process for verification or evaluation. Its doesnt mean it is DONE.
This is my opinion!!

Hi Brother

Forum members who have applied under FSWP 2013 and who have received PER and able to log-in to Ecas, have you noticed the following at the end of the Ecas page:

The following tables will help you understand the status of your application.
Application for Permanent Residence Outside Canada
Application for Permanent Residence in Canada
Application for Permanent Residence - Federal skilled Worker submitted to Sydney, Nova Scotia

When you have taken printout of that form.. means Did you fill that form directly from CIC site or just download way before the date you have sent and fill up same at last moment.... Because If forms are having updation date 072013.. than it should be changed in JULY'13 only... So just try to remember what was the scenario at that time... And it better to send updated form urgently cause no one 100% sure that your case will be taken into consideration or not with new docs which you plan to send now.

Hi Freddy

An important point to consider here, would be the dates that your friend has used throughout the forms while signing and at other places. I assume if his application and form signing dates indicate prior to July, then there could be a chance that his applications could be admitted.

Having said that, I note that you mention that his file was received by CIC on 12th of August. Really hard to convince CIC, because form was available since July 2013. IMM 0008 (07-2013) E not only has a different footer but also, Q12 has now been divided into two parts: 12a and 12b. Though on the face, this might not look like a big difference, yet I am guessing that when the new completed form is validated and bar codes generated, they would slightly feed differently into the CIC systems on scanning as compared to the old form.

As suggested by other forum members, there is absolutely no harm in sending the newly filled form and hope that it gets accepted and you get your PER!!!!! :)
